I'd go test drive a C6 Z06 before making any decision. After you've done so, then trade it in on the Z06 because I'm willing to bet you will like it more. Plus you can save some major coin especially if you buy a used Vette!

Yep, the GTR is about the same as the Track model!

Answer is NO, get a Track!

How is it "almost the same as your track"? It is nothing the same, hence why it'd cost your car plus $70k.

what im trying to say is when u look at my Z and u look the gtr these cars are not that different in construction other then the motor the brakes and the trans...so when u think it over 84 k dollars vs what i paid for my z in 2004 which was 34k .. its over priced when compared to cars like M3/m5 ...i hope this makes sense.

The GT-R is not overpriced, it's way underpriced. The GT-R is a real SUPERCAR, most cars in its class go for $200,000.

The Z06 isn't even in the same league as the GT-R.....the ZR1 is. The reason the GT-R is so incredibly groundbreaking is because it literally is a supercar for $70,000!

It's an obvious choice to trade the Z in for a GT-R if you really have the money, but any car like that is going to require very expensive upkeep.

But if you test drove the GT-R and you think it's not much different than your Z, then don't buy it.....cuz it should be a WORLD of difference away from a Z!

Dtw dont get me wrong GTR is fast but on normal streets its as fast as the traffic allows i would think the car shines on the track for those super lightining shifts but other then that i would say its normal ...and of course the upkeep which im not concern ...im just a bit bent how nissan jacked up the price to 84k...i feel the original price point they had last year which was 69k for normal and 72 for preminum was fine but now i just think nissan screwed up and these cars will sit on lots....put it this way the other day a dealer offered me invoice on 2010 ...and what he said please take it i dont want the car here.

I don't know if this dimitri guy is full of it or not. Look, he has had an M5, wants to supercharge an SS, and loves his Z says it's a fun car, but is wanting to trade it in for a GTR. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you like the Z a lot, and SUPPOSEDLY can afford to have a gtr, why don't you go F/I with your Z, do it right and spend a fraction of the cost as it would be for that GTR. If it was me, I would go that right. I know it's a GTR, but I like the look of the Z more, and I think you could ulitmately spend a lot less and make that Z your dream car as opposed to buying that boat of a car. Too heavy, not enough power. All the hype of the GTR is caca if you ask me

+1 on test driving a Z06
