Dropped off and Picked it up the car at the MEchanic to install my new A/C compressor (with new clutch and pulley) from Amazon.
Mech called on Monday and said to buy the a/c compressor from their parts place AND get their warranty I would have to buy condenser, dryer and compressor to the tune of $1100.
He suggested getting a compressor from amazon, and he'd install it.
Compressor with tax $225
a/c recharge $50
labor $160
Nice and quite now. Sorry northerner...we needed A/C in florida today
My lady and I wash her Z34 at the local wash bay. Looks great! She has some class. I helped detail with my new Nike detailer kit bag ha.
Behold, another Brembo SRT WK2 4-POT Caliper came in today, I now am ready to continue on to the new brake set-up. I made damn sure there was 2 bleeder nipple to begin with. /sigh
Swapped out rear newish Timken bearings for upgraded 370z bearings and axles. The drivers side timken bearing failed after 5 dyno pulls and ~ 500 miles.
Easy job. One note: If your going to do this, order Grade 8.8 M10 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts. The 12 OEM axle bolts are to short with the wider flange on the 370 axles. The OEM 370 bolts are even shorter. I got mine from Fastenal. $15
I agreed to buy my Z today haven’t seen it in person yet just pictures I’m picking her up Friday. So I guess all I did today for my Z was agree to give her a home and TLC to get her back up to par
Bought a car sight unseen huh.....is it at least local to you?
Less than an hr away but it technically isn’t bought haven’t signed any paperwork or payed a deposit or down payment yet. I’m doing all of that Friday after I test drive her. But as long as she runs she’ll be coming home with me. She has high mileage needs a fair amount work to the exterior and the seats need to be replaced but she has a clean title and a good service history. So I’m fairly certain it won’t be too much of a money pit 🤞

I can’t say it’s not a money pit because I plan on doing a lot of work starting with either wrapping it or Plasti dipping it. Wrapping some of the plastic interior, switching out the seats, getting blue halo headlights, get a new aftermarket hood, change the current rear spoiler and front splinter, add some side skirts, change the gauges, add some interior lights, probably switch out the sound system, possibly the touch screen radio currently in it, add a back up camera, get a better cold air intake filter, and at some point replace the clutch, the exhaust it has is nice but I don’t like the tips so I’ll be switching those at some point. That’s all I can think of for now without actually having drove the car myself.
I was shocked (a rare Vert)... but what shocked me really was the seats.
What even happened?
No clue but new seats are on my list I found a site that makes 350z seats. A lot of the stuff the previous owner did is just confusing but he surprisingly kept up with the service, maintenance, and state inspections
