I suggested a "Hraes vs. Teens" forum, but it's still in the works.

Ok so although the younglings might make the Z ricey and all, seriously think back to when you were 17. I wish I had a Z at that age! It took me until 35 to get my Z...I had to work my way up from a CIVIC that I absolutely abused, and still running strong! I had a couple of ACCORDS that were superb as well, and now I finally have a Z. If you're young and have a Z,CONGRATS! Do what you want with your Z, but just be safe and respect the space of other drivers around you. Please don't be like that kid that killed the moped driver, be better than that. If you have to rice your Z with parts that don't belong, have fun...that's the point of being 17 afterall.
Us older folks have a little more enthusiasm for the Z, and look down on the rice factor, but like I said before, at 17 we did weird things to our cars too.
Don't lie, you know you had neon around the plates, and neons under the ride! How about those 15's and low pro's? Sound systems that sounded like azz, and we were damn proud of em too. Come on cut the young ones some slack, and let them learn the hard way like we did.

No neons on my cars when I was a teen. The only thing I did to my cars was the sound system, and it sounded pretty damn good. MB Quart Speakers, JL Subs, Ecplipse CD player, and Precision Power Amps. No crap sounding stuff in my cars.

I find this post somewhat upsetting particularly because i'm seventeen, though i didn't read much into the posts so i'm sorry if perhaps i misunderstood the subject.

In short, I started saving up for a car in year 2002. with 14 grand at hand by my 16th year (3,100 was actually saved change), and 1000 dollars from my parents, i purchased a 2005 v6 mustang in summer of 2006, financing 3 grand.

I kept the car for 10 months. This previous summer, i worked and at the end of the summer, had made around 4 grand saved and suited for a new car. I sold the car for 15 grand and financed a brand new 2007 350z with 20 down, borrowing $400 from parents.

You could say i'm not ready for a car because i'm not old enough, but I dont think age should be considered a factor. I appreciate what I appreciate, and, ultimatley, short of about 1400 dollars of my own, i did manage to buy my z....(love the car by the way )

Did you sell drugs? I don't know any young adult in highschool competent enough to save (or even make) $14,000 during their highschool career. You must have literally worked every day at a place obviously violating child labor laws.

I also said I was going to save every $$$$$$ for a car, I made about $500 in a summer. You made $4,000
