I definitely understand your civic being stolen in LB, Me and my girl are from Bixby Knolls and they stole her civic first year of college and it was just stock lol, also had a friend lose his acura integra, they stole the engine right out the car in front of his house when he was on vacation.

I know right? I know countless people who had their Hondas and Acuras stolen. A couple years back my friend had a beat up 91 accord, this thing had rust up the ying yang and had nearly 270k miles but that didn't stop anybody from stealing that pos. My roommate in college had a stock integra that wasn't even a vtec nor manual transmission but he had his stolen right in the parking lot on campus and found it a month later all stripped of the engine interior and transmission in some ditch. Wtf is with people stealing Hondas? I would never get one just because the fact people like stealing them so much.

1993 honda del sol
2003 volkswagen passat
2003 nissan 350z

I think we should enjoy each others company on this forum, we all have the car regardless if mommy and daddy bought them or we worked hard for them.

I understand this thread was created in 2002. 11 years ago! Back then it seemed like a huge deal that teenagers were getting these as first cars and they were "spoiled brats" But its the year 2013 and believe it or not but teenagers can actually afford these cars themselves so thats wonderful that I was 9 when this thread was created but does that mean I deserve it less than you?

Well nismo, from what i have gathered it isnt about the fact that guys are getting Zs or any other expensive sports car young, its the fact that they say that they "worked" for it, in a general sense, or they saved up their "entire" life savings to buy the car, yet try to make it seem like they did it with no help and bought their car on the terms like most of the older guys on here, which is absolutely not true, even still to this day. I could care less, but thats what i gathered from it.

That's what I gathered from it (and no i didn't go back and read 10 year of posts lol).

Just wondering if I was missing something.

and I TOTALLY get that part of it.

I couldn't even afford a beater car until I was 25.

Yeah you dont have to go back too far to understand, but its mostly the young cats who dont know any better about who they are talking to, that get flamed and shiit on.

most Z owners are enthusiasts. when they came out in 03 i told myself that i would have one, i drooled over them for 8 yrs. the way i finally got mine is not the optimal way (insurance money from when dad passed). regardless this is a website for the love of the car, i am happy for any owner of any car that finally got the car they dreamed of... remember, we were all new to the car at one point

I absolutely agree, but dont come on here talking trash or trying to convince us you saved up for this car, or got it as a gift and it was really your mommy and daddy that helped you. With the mentalities of most of the people who posted that were angry or defensive, they will always need Mommy and Daddy.
