I have walked a Cayman S in my Z, it doesn't even deserve to be in the same sentence with a GTR. Unless the 911 is a turbo or turbo S then it doesn't stand a chance against a GTR.
The new GTR runs between $99k - $110k. The new 911 turbo is about $150k while the turbo s is almost $200k.
GTR spanks either 0 - 60 as well as around the Nurburgring.
What's boring about that?
Before you say anything else, I do have access to both vehicles and I would hands down take the GTR between the 2 all day, every day.

I've beaten a Cayman S too, it's no surprise the Z will beat them cause their down on power but the GTR is too normal. The 911 turbo for example has sexy lines like a true sports car, it makes a lovely sound like a true sports car, it turns heads like a true sports car, and it's impractical like a true sports car. The Z fits these very well, the Cayman does too, and the 911 but the GTR just felt like a beefed up Maxima with two doors. The 350 sounds alot better than it, both the 370 and 350 has nice sleek lines and the GTR is big and bulky like a sedan. If you put the 370, 911, Cayman, and GTR in front of people who don't know anything about either of the cars the GTR wouldn't be considered a sports car just by it's looks. Sure it's fast as hell but so is the 911 Turbo. The 911 doesn't feel like a normal everyday sedan when driving it. The GTR is like a normal boring chick that is good in bed and the 911 is like a hot piece of a$$ that's always a thrill to be around. Oh yeah, keep in mind what I said earlier, I only driven 3 of the earlier models of the GTR (the ones without the LED lights on the front bumper) not the newer updated ones. If you've driven the newer ones share some insight.
The Beetle 911 is more of a driver's car. The GTR is more of a technological achievement.
I'd have the GTR just for practicality sake since I already have a 2 seater convertible with no trunk.
Plus, the GTR is sexy.

The 2009 GTR (no LED lights on the front bumper) smoked the 2009 911 Turbo and the 2009 GT2 on the Nurburgring. Porsche has not been able to counter that to this day. I have driven a co-worker's 2013 GTR and it's a beast and a pleasure to drive. Another Friend with a 2013 GTR has taken his out to the track and broke 11 stock with stock tires within weeks of purchasing the car. Not only can she smoke pretty much anything out on the roads but she can do it in a way that feels comfortable. So basically by clumping the Cayman in this group, you're writing that your Z is in the same class or better than a GTR. What you write is idiotic. Your normal, boring chick anecdote is seriously lame!

Did he really just say that!?! The GTR is like having a Victoria secret model with no gag reflex, and your gay Porsche is like that chick who looks hot when your drunk. GTR is a normal boring chick?!? Slap yourself your analogy is terrible

You can't change my mind with little insults. Test drive a R8 or a 911 turbo. Then drive a nissan maxima and then the gtr.

22 with a masters and a great job? Did you start school when you were 16???
No **** you don't buy a new car. I just said $90k bc that about the average of a fairly new but used Gtr, 911, z06..
Yea I live at home. I don't care what some girl thinks about that lol. I bought a Z for $19k when I was 19.. Am I really gonna struggle living on my own when I can just have free rent and save up my money? Wouldn't that be using my money properly? Please I'm sure many guys on this forum lived with their parents until 25 at least.
But lets be honest. If you have money for a gtr or 911 ~90k, live on your own, then I highly doubt you paid for your schooling and you probably work for dads company. No need to give me life experience tips, doubt your much more experienced than I am. Be grateful you have the fundings for a dream car for many. Maybe one day I will also.
Off topic but I can just tell by the way you 'brag' that you can afford a 90k car you are secretly cheap. You just strike me as the guy who would leave 5% on a $50 bill
Here's a life lesson for you. Stop caring about what other people do. Who cares if a 16 year old drives a Z. If it really bothers you that much, get a 911 like you said. When did you get your Z?

It is the interwebz and i have nothing to prove, was just trying to give advice.
Thank you..
I also have a degree and would love to get my masters.
Stuart you criticize me for living at home yet you drive an auto Z.. Time to get your priorities straightened sir.
I think girls get more wet over a 22 year old driving stick than a 22 year old living on his own.

Just to clarify, GTRs do not really need much input from the driver, that car is the terminator of cars, it does everything on its own
the porsche 911 still requires the driver to drive and gives a much more exhilarating experience
I have friends with both and they both are a blast to be in and drive
children live at home with mommy and daddy because they cant support themselves. A grown *** man should be able to support himself or he is not a man he is still a child. Just because your parents have the means doesn't mean you should take advantage of it.
Your 22!, your a grown *** man! Wtf is wrong with you? By the time your ready to move out the cost of living will have doubled. You need to break the cycle of dependency now while your still young, its not healthy, and it will actually lead to sub-conscience resentment toward your parents.
Good luck kid.

Please lil boy, i dont care what you spend your "life savings" on you still pulled a stupid move by buying a 19,000 car while your still in school. BTW i paid for my school thru my company (I work for Citibank) so i have no loans or anything. the fact of the matter is you need to get your priorities right, I dont understand kids who use the excuse of "im in school" to justify their stupid *** decisions. While it is ok to live at home whuile your in school, it aint ok to buy **** u cant afford at the time, hope your note and insurance isnt too much, you will see how that becomes a problem later on when its time to be a big boy and move out.

Thats cool bro, work towards it and u can have whatever u want, i bought my auto z cuz i dont care about a transmission and neither does a girl. She does care that i live on my own, have a car, a job, went to school, etc. Things that would make her life better if she got with me. Its ok though you are prolly in the same boat as the other guy.

Don't care about transmission?? That's funny bc you posted saying how you would eventually swap to a Mt..
Again "girls girls girls". You must be a white knight to put a girl before yourself. I bought the car for myself. I'm an only child from an immigrant family.. If you have the money to do all that stuff then cool! Until then I will live with mom and dad like most Europeans do until I'm financially stable and have a job. Must be an American thing to move out at 18 just how it's an American thing to drive AT in a sports car. You guys hate your parents or something?
The whole point of this "debate" was because you cared so much about what a 17 year old drove. Stfu and worry about yourself.
What do you do at Citi? When did you move out of your house
Be humble and grateful. No need to put less fortunate people down.

Gents, just to the right of the "quote" at the bottom right hand of each post is the "multi-quote". You simple click that for every post you want to quote then the last person you want to quote you actually hit the "quote". Then all of the posts you want to quote end up in 1 post. You don't have to individually quote each post.

Life savings? Who are you judging? That's cool you work for citi, but they didn't pay for you Bachelors sorry. Again when did you go to school? You just seem like one big fraud. To get a Masters at age 22 is a lie.

You have the misconception that I give two ****s about what a 17 year old drives. I know what ibhave done just because you like living at home that's cool. I'm a grown man though my parents taught me to put my big boy shoes on at an early age, learn tk work hard and stop depending on your parents and you could understand where I'm coming from.

Find it hard to believe you:
-have a Z
-paid for your own school
-live on your own
-got a masters by age 22
-did mommy and dad help?
Fraud

Again. How did you obtain a masters by 22. I'm a little curious. When did you start school? Why do you have an auto Z? When did you move out of school?

I got a teller job at citi qnd just moved up once I graduated they paid for my master's and I got another job within the company.
