Default Would it be a smart idea

Been planning and jotting some projects to do on my Z this winter. I have narrowed it down to 2 different ways I could go. Hopefully I can get some logical/non stupid ideas from everyone on here except davidv and Dr. Venture or whatever his name is.
OK
1st things first.
I have an 05 with exhaust plenum spacer and soon to be JWT pop charger 6MT with 44k miles.
I want to do the Stroker kit on it this winter, and with that in mind, take care of Cam's and Headers while I have the motor pulled out. When I do this, I was thinking about throwing a 50-75 wet shot on there for track purposes for next spring,
OR
2nd,
I could go Small Single Turbo and pull the motor out and get some Cams/ forged internals and See if I can get my compression down, All work well be done by a buddy who owns a shop, and a 300zx, Has done a few 350zs and even a twin turbo 370z now. I trust his work with either, but its deciding on which to go.
My purposes for the vehicle are as follow.
1. Non Daily Driver
2. Track(Quarter mile drag)
3. Street driving for hell of it.
4. Look beautiful in my garage.
What should I do?

Personally I would turbo it if you are going to build the motor. Just a btw if you are putting a stroker kit your Z could handle alot more than a 75 shot.

Edit: I saw you are from St. Louis, I flew out to there to buy my Nismo

LOL. Its great to be famous or maybe its infamous.

Forced-induction is a win-no win compromise for drag racing:

a. You can no longer run in a Street Legal class. Now you are up there with the big boys and they do not take prisoners.

b. 6-cylinder with power adder will generally compete with all-motor 8-cylinder. You just jumped up one class. To be competitive there is no such thing as small turbo or little bit of nitrous. Go big or go home.

Sam, I was thinking if I went Stroker Kit, I could do a 150 shot of Nitrous, If I decide to go that way.
DavidV and Dr. Venture, its nothing but love, I didnt want a "search comment" or anything stupid, Flo-Rida I don't want to be mean but I would never buy a used turbo kit, If I have the money to buy new, i Rather just buy new :/
Stroker Kit + NOS is still winning to be honest.

If your serious why not check out my friends thread.

https://my350z.com/forum/na-builds/4...50z-revup.html

I have driven the car past few days. Its pretty fast in High Rpm. (did not hit the NOS)
He did however have an oil loss at 500 miles. When we checked it it just looked like certain hoses from the oil cooler needed to be tightened better. I hope problem was solved.

Thanks for the offer Flo-Rida but I think im going with Stroker kit, I just seem to be more comfortable with OUT Turbo/SC set up. Dr. Venture, did the Oil Leak get solved and I well contact that guy for some advice of do's and don'ts when installing.
Thanks a lot guys. I hope to see myself on those forums come April !

Bad *** Thread sir, Thanks for the input, I am going to shoot for the same, however I would like to try to be around 350 to the wheels without the nitrous of course. With the nitrous, Has anyone see what kind of times I can expect in the 1/4 mile with that horsepower and a 50-75 shot of nitrous?
Sat down and wrote out some numbers, for saving. I am expecting in the upwards of 6k+ for everything

Got all the tools equipment and resources to get the engine/tranny cheap, just gotta find the build, Im going to start a thread after I get the 240sx

So let me get this straight. You were selling the Z unannounced to us. Then figured if you were not going to be selling it that you would hook it up?

Now you have sold the Z and got yourself a GMC?

Why even discuss hooking it up in the 1st place?

Where is all the pictures? Of your previously owned Z, and now your GMC?

Missing a comma nice notice though. I have pictures on my facebook, ask BoomerZ hes friends with me on there. Got a badass GMC, I did have it for sale, i posted it in every thread I talked in. If it didnt sell by the end of the month I was keeping it all winter and doing the work to it, instead I traded in my Ford Ranger(daily driver) and the 350z and bought a 2011 GMC Sierra. Now its time to start hunting for a boat for next spring for the river OR a project car. I saw a total'd Z selling for 1k bucks I was thinking about grabbing, I need something that well hold an LS3.
