How did you pay? If you payed by paypal, credit card, or anything like that filing a claim ASAP! Otherwise lawyer up and contact your bank about the funds.

Is there any way you could pm me contact info for the lawyer your using? I'm going to need to lawyer up against him it seems and since your lawyer already knows the deal, I figure it might be easier to use him.

 

I'm sorry but I can't. I did not hire a lawyer for this. I have contracted lawyers for consultation and they all said I shouldn't have a problem representing myself in court and that's just what I did. I'm representing myself and so far everything has been running pretty smoothly. Sorry I couldn't help you out. Check your local laws and international laws seeing that your location is in Germany?

Update:

Last week Adam emailed me saying he is going to pay me back but due to his funds he was only going to make a $500 down payment at the end of August and a $250 bi-weekly payment after that.

I told him no because I had to make a bigger down payment ($1800) and make $500 bi-weekly payments following the down payment. Plus, I have to trust him to even send checks out to me when he has been lying to me about the parts and money the entire time. Additionally, I have gotten a few pm's saying his checks bounce and a few people in this thread have said the same thing.

I told him unless he can pay me in full by the court date I will drop the charges otherwise he will see me in court. And I think he is trying to make money because his blog (Corner Balance) started to be a little bit more active lately. Maybe he is still trying to sell stuff and make money. Who knows?

 

I will not be able to represent myself in court. I'm a service member stationed in germany and paying the equivalent amount in airfare and time to what I am trying to get back simply is not working. It will fall directly under US law. He said he is going to refund the money, but if I don't see it within 2 weeks or so I'm going to get the lawyer going.

No what he is doing is generating cash flow by ripping off more people - exactly what he has been doing for years. Almost a Ponzi scheme except that almost no one gets their parts or their money. Still amazed that no one has paid him a personal "visit" yet.....

 

I too, have been scammed by Adam

I've ordered an Os diff from him since January... Later, I asked for a refund. He gave me a bounced check...

 

This doesn't help anyone here...but I find it interesting, the high horse this jack@ss rode around on here for so long.

Still getting the run around as well, he said the parts will be sent.

that story reminds me of someone who scammed me 4 years ago... he was dealing with my cousin and send him cars from the US, when it came to my turn i sent him 32K to buy me a 2009 370z.. after 4 months of delaying he said the car were stolen.

later the guyz in the370z helped me and got me the car fax.. he resold the car to a dealer. after months of calling and threatening, i even called the American embassy in Bahrain and they didnt offer any help. it took me 7 months to get a 2007 m35x + 12K.

at the end.. he admitted that he was drunk & made an accident the court made him to pay 30K so he sold my 370z..

thanx god i didnt buy anything from z1 Performance.

and every one posting in this thread should say the entire vendor name "z1 performance" because some pple read few posts and thinks it z1 motorsports and leave the thread...

At least you got some type of actual feed back from him. I have never received anything from him. (I also pm'd you)

I don't think anyone has done any successful business with him lately. Like I said in an earlier post a lot of my club members did do good business with him until recently but he resolved it very quickly.

I ordered a set of wheels from him, waited 3 months, only to have another previous vendor on here call up SSR and confirm that they had been in the US and in stock the whole time. I contacted VISA and they started an investigation. Adam had told me I would have my wheels by a certain date. VISA said he had until that date to either deliver the wheels or refund my money in full; and if he didn't, they would refund me the money and start another investigation (I assume it would be a bit more in-depth). A day before that date, he refunded me my full payment.

As a side note, I was dumb and paid through google checkout, which left me absolutely no one to contact about my payment. When he originally sent me a refund, he just sent an invoice to me and in the notes section he wrote, "Refund". I included this "refund" in my notes to VISA. Moral of the story, he's a piece of sh*t.

 

Sorry for the delay in replying, im still wait for time to take its course due to time restrictions for certain organisation and laws to take place to protect the consumer.

There may be charges to the DA depend on how the hearing turns out. So yes im still out of pocket but NO he has not got the money without any repercussions.

Recently received my goods from Adam @ Z1 everything was perfect.
Adam replied instantly every time I had an enquiry about my order.
After purchasing the goods I found this forum post and honestly I was abit worried about purchasing off Adam but he pulled through with the goods and was very professional about it.
Will purchase from him again.

 

Just so you all know I purchased a Stillen gen 3 cold air intake and AAM high flow cats.
The cold air intake wasn't even on his website and he ordered it for me and sent it to Australia.
Total was around $1400 Aus. Express delivered.
