Any suggestions for mods for my 03 Z?
I am getting my car on Wednesday and I don't really know what I want to do with it. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it. I don't plan on racing or anything I just want it to be a nice car. Any ideas or should I just leave it stock?

The aftermarket for the 350 is pretty expensive. Do your research and if you can't afford it leave it stock. It is better than trying to cheap out and wreck something.

Wheels are nice, other than that nothing is really needed (to include wheels ) to have a nice car.

Its all dollars¢s,right?
Depends on the funds you have available.
Is looks or performance your thing?
First,I'd drive your new Z for awile before I do anything.
Yeah, some will say don't invest alot in a 03.But what do they know?
Its your car...you do what you want.
If its looks thats important to you,I'd go for some new rims.
Again,budget...You either have 17's or 18's.Whats the condition of the tires?
Can you afford a set of 19's&tires?If so,thats what I'd do.If not,may want to tint/paint the OEM wheels for starters. If performance is your deal,go for a CAI(Popcharger)&exhaust change. You may not get a noticeable change in HP.But,you will "think"
you are.
Thats whats important,right?
Have fun with your new Z!

It's not like this question hasn't been asked before. A simple search would have yielded you more than enough info...

My best advice is to browse the Tech forums for a while. Look at the popular (most views, most replies) threads. See what people have been doing. Look at the picture threads, the gallery, the Media Share forum. Look at lots of Zs - eventually you'll find something that piques your interest.
Too many people want to do a mod just for the sake of doing a mod. I've seen people asking about a particular mod, not knowing the first thing about what the mod even does. That's just a way to throw money down the drain because later you'll be disappointed in your choice or disillusioned with it so you'll sell it at a huge loss.
Be patient and take time to learn about the Z and all the various mods. They will fall into place eventually.
BTW - I didn't post those links so you would get some mod ideas. It was more to illustrate the shotgun approach that people take. They ask the open ended question and everybody fires back random suggestions. No consideration for budget, direction, technical ability or mechanical competance. I see a lot of people make the same suggestion in each of the "what mod next question" threads. I guess they have their own favorite mod and are trying to influence others to do the same. Hell, it's your car, don't let others design it for you. Find what you like then seek out info and opinions on the specific subject. You'll get a lot better results and you'll be a lot happier with those results in the long run.
One more thing, these threads are always a good starting point....

OP, get used it and start searching on here. You'll get plenty of ideas from this forum.

OP didn't even mention his mileage, and sometimes that doesn't even matter as long as the car is taken care of. However, age does have a determination factor on certain things. This will eventually happen to every car. I have an '03 with 49,000 miles. This = good for me and I'm sure many others. I've had no major problems what so ever. The only thing I dealt with was the oem muffler rusted in one spot but was welded back together. If people do their homework, there are '03 models that are worth your time.

i got my brick two years ao exactly with 48k on the clock. 79k now and i really make it work. Coming from somebody who actually beats on an 03, that car probably does have some abuse. still going strong though, had to have my 3rd gear synchro replaced (warranty, thank. god.) but thats it. Gotta get my ACT 6 puck in it next, cause 80k on the original isnt cutting it, and i just got the nitrous installed so new clutch. Tranny is a *****. Props to the CD009 suggestion.
