I would start by attacking that price. It seems high. And like the others said, look into insurance.

That's too much for that car with that many miles. I know the miles aren't that high, but what I am trying to say is you can buy that car with that many miles for like 11 or so. That car is going to cost you around 13.7 after dealer fees and w/e.

Do what I did and save cash for the car. I bought my 03 with 11,500 cash with less miles.
Financing a used car can really suck if your parents don't have good credit.

I waited a while for mine but patience always pays off.

Typically whenever you finance a car over 5 years old you will get hammered on interest rates... Not to mention if you need a co-signer then you probably shouldn't be buying it anyways

Buy a beater until you have a degree (or career) and a house. Then you buy toys.

If you buy your toys before your necessities, you will never fully appreciate them. Especially if you're always up to your eyeballs in payments. You might even start to resent your car when the payments mean you struggle to buy groceries without racking up CC debt.

So guys. Here's a deal I want to do. They want 13.7k including dealer fees tax etc. I have 1000 cash and my
Old car. (2004 Hyundai tiburon gt) they appraised it at 3k so in reality I'll be financing around 9.7k. Anyone know
How much it will per month? I also got a quote from American family insurance, 76 bucks a month since my dad already has an account with them. Again I only make around 800 bucks a month with my
Only other expense being a 40 dollar cell
Phone bill. What do u guys think?

Smarter decision would be to keep the original car and save up more or wait til you get a better job. It's not a good thing to be a slave for a car.. Im glad I waited a bit. But you'll go and make your decision on your own. If anything keep looking around I got my 06 z with 62k for just under 12k at the stealership. Took my time and in the long run it was the better decision. Best of luck to you man

Sorry to hear that.
First of all, your car will sell for $5,000 (in my area atleast) minimum. So don't do a trade in cause they rip you off. If you want to get rid of the GT than sell it yourself and it should go for $5000 minimum I think.

Than, don't buy that car from the dealer. You seem impatient, which will screw you over. I think everyone here told you not to buy it, and you are still trying to buy it. $13.7 is too much for that car. You can get it for $12.5 MAX, and I mean MAX.

If you still want that car from the dealer, than hassle them down. Say I offer $12.5 after all fees. I am sure they will give it to you since I bet no one else is willing to pay that price................

I hassled my car from 13 to 11.5 without any trouble. They will say no thanks, but they'll call ya in 2 days.

Do you live with a relative who pays for your room and board and groceries etc?

If so, do you plan on moving out before paying off your car?

It would suck to have to live with someone else because your car payments prohibit you from making rent payments, utility payments, grocery purchases.

You sound you're setting yourself up to be car poor. I'd rethink my priorities if I were you.

my suggestion, take a month, record all your expensed. divide into categories, such as neccesities, discrestionary, and expenses you can eliminate all together.
find out how much your spending each month, compare it to how much youre making. now add a car payment, gas, insurance and other expenses for this car. you may find your self in a serious deficit. I used this method when i was first looking to buy a car. before you make any purchase, save enough to live for 3 months if you ended up losing your job. never live paycheck to paycheck. take your time, i was in the car market for a year and a half before i made a purchase.
hope this helped!

BOOOOOM BOY you broke..... oh hey what about tires, belts, compression rod, air filter, oil change, tranny fluid, diff fluid, brake pads, window motors ......
AMEN.. You dont want to live with no money to cant even afford to take your lady to dinner. And remember in case you get a speeding ticket, with no money means caltrans is in your future. The good thing is you are re-searching.

I suggest keeping your current vehicle, unless its a problem car or you have to have RWD then i would suggest a 240sx
And if still stuck on the Z find one with under a $5k total loan, that means you pay the rest of the total and loan is $5k (and that is over spending, your limit should be about $3.5k)
