$2 to $3k if you do all the work yourself and buy used parts

Of course it can be done
Source the parts yourself and try to get the best deal you can on every part
There's a DIY on here with a complete parts list too

Members here have done the swap. Ashton (abushong504) is one of them and his Z is a BEAST. If you get the swap done right, there shouldn't be any problem...

Do the swap, I'd like to see another build thread with an auto to 6spd swap in there

Not so much expensive, you can get it on repair shop or by the showroom from which you purchased and can do by your self by buy needed products.

unless you are doing the work yourself, it's probably more cost effective to sell the car and buy a manual trans Z.

it's totally worth it, though. I've driven both, the manual Z is worlds more fun to drive.

Converting it to 6 speed should cost about as much as buying a 6 speed.
