Default Powershifting

For those skilled with the manual tranny,

Can someone explain exactly what powershifting is and how it is done?

Correct, it's definetly not good on the tranny, you will see a drop in e.t. if your good but not worth the risk of breaking something.

I thought power shifting was shifting without the use of the clutch? At least that is what it is when referring to accelerating with a cycle...I kicked numerous bikes all the way up to 100mph that I KNOW were faster than mine....the riders just weren't either willing to speed shift, or didn't know how.

Yeah...but never even touched the clutch....just put enough pressure on the shifter that when I blipped the throttle the gears meshed perfect and slipped into the next gear in milliseconds...anyone who ever rode on the back was "giggle-silly" after a ride!
