I was suprised too.

well first of all,
he sent me back home saying that the car is fine when its not.
he had to let every single person in the service center drive my car.
he was suppose to call me back after he talk to NNA. but he never did call NNA nor ME.

My car also has a slight low murmur/vibration under normal acceleration in 1st gear…sometimes worse than others. I was somewhat concerned so I spoke with the dealer and they suggested I bring it in. I ask them to let me drive another 6sp for comparison….it did the same thing…just a little less noticeable. I’m going to drive mine for about 2,000 miles and see if it works itself out before I put it on the operating table.

Is the rattle you are hearing a metal on metal sound? I think there may be two “sounds” people are experiencing. You can’t hear mine from outside the car or in the passenger seat for that matter.

hey lemon,
my car was making the same rattling sort of noise under acceleration in the low rpm range in first and second gear. i can only hear the sound from the outside, but that may be due to the fact that i always have the music up at a decent volume.

anyway, car went in for service a couple days ago for that, among other problems (driver side window motor failure, feathering and some other small things). the service dude told me the problem is a plate towards the rear of the car that was flexing or something. my conversation with him was very brief but anyway he said that he ordered some parts to get rid of the sound and in a couple weeks the car is going to go back in. When i find out exactly what was replaced i'll post back here again. that should be within the next week or two, sorry for the delay.

Im tellin you..Im not a girl. and ill be takin my car in this coming tuesday and thursday. to 2 different dealers.
Antwerpen Nissan, MD and Passport Nissan, VA. i hope they find the problem.
