Default Looking to buy a Z

Hello!

First post, long time lurker...looking to buy a 2003-2005 Z. Just wondering if there is anything in particular to look for? Any specific model that is better bang for your buck?

It depends what you want at the end of the day.

I like touring because I wanted leather and heated seats, lsd and Bose. Any z is good bang for your $ 2004.5 is the best besides the hr (2007+).

Seriously? The post RIGHT below yours asks the same question. In addition to the hundreds of other threads just like it...

Did you actually read mine? I'm looking for a 03/04. The other guy is looking for a 2007. If you have no useful input, go annoy someone else. To the other guys, thanks for the info.

If you are going to plasti dip, eyelids, tint anything but windows, then don't get this car.. If true enthusiast then get whatever you can afford.. 03-05 not much difference.. Best is 07+

I'd look for a Z that is as close to OEM)NO MODS)as possible.
Start there.Lately I've noted several sales of the years you are seking that were owned
by "senior citizens".They bought a Z on a lark or possibly to remind them of the 240z they once owned.Usually low miles.Find one, drive it.If its a 6MT CHECK THE TRANNYSuggest looking for a Touring.
It has features such as LSD and others.
I'vehad my 03 Touring since bought new.
No major problems. Now at over 90k.

I suppose my Z will fall into the group you describe one day. Senior citizen, owned several earlier Zs, Touring, low miles, no mods.
