Default Should I ship my 350Z to Guam?

Ship or sell? Hi there. I have a low-mileage '07 coupe, Enthusiast. I've heard about the harsh tropical environment, rust, flooding in Guam.

I'll be moving to Guam soon and parking my car outside under covered parking. Should I ship my 350Z to Guam, and if so, how should I protect it? Or should I sell it?

Shipping would be free both ways, car is paid off, only 30,000 miles.

I dont see why not. Although the rotors will rust fast if it sits on the rain without being covered inside.

Welcome and that's an unusual introduction. I think your question depends on more than what you've revealed in your first post. How long is your assignment in Guam? When it's over, will it still be free to ship back?

I wouldn't worry too much about the environment- Nissan uses zinc plating to make most of their cars rustproof, but flooding could destroy any vehicle. Depending on both work and home parking, you'll have to weigh the risks. Are you going to be driving the Z on paved roads? It'll suck on any muddy, off-road roadways...

Hey its just an 18 month assignment, return shipping also free. I'll be living in Tumon w/ outside covered parking, and just driving on paved roads

Free shipping both ways. Not dealing with selling your Z, buying a car in Guam then selling that, then buying a car when you return to the states in 18 months.

I would take it with me.

I live in guam myself, yeah the roads are bad and we do get a lot of rain, but as long as you wash your car consistently you'll be fine. And there are plenty of nice roads to cruise around on and tons of car enthusiast here, surprised me when I first got here. I say bring your car as long as you take care of it you can keep it in good condition

Absolutely... You'd miss it, and you'll still need a car. I brought mine to Germany and certainly don't regret it.
