Hi guys,
I just come to america for few months and got myself an 04 350z. I love this car and I would like to put this body kit without the wide body on. My car is worth 8K when i bought it 2 months ago in Silver with 98K miles. Can you guys tell me roughly how much this kit will cost me to buy and installed without the funky wide body stuff added on? Also if you guy have it, can you tell me if its too low to drive over speed bump? My school has many speed bumps. I don't have much money so please help and can anyone show me what website I can buy legitly veilside from? Much thank.
Welcome to both the USA and the Z community. As for a Veilside kit (widebody or not), by the time you purchase one, have a body shop paint and install it, you'll spend almost the cost of your car. Then you'll undoubtedly wreck it driving over speed bumps at your school. So if you don't have much money, don't waste it on a body kit...
I would hold off and look around, I mean, have you ever looked at the Catfish body kit ? Not easy to make look good, best way to make it look good is buy something other than Veilside
I do not know much about body kit, i search and only veilside is told to be legit and fit on the car. I heard all the other cheap one do not fit right and will cost much money to install. What body kit would be semi tall enough to not hit speed bump? My buddy have a BMW that's quite low and it seem to drive fine here. Thank you.
Other Z-ers have mentioned everything right to you. If you say money is an issue then don't go for it. Which version of Veilside do you want?
V2 - $2680
V3 - $6650 (with or without over fenders) (Tokyo Drift version)
Ver. III - $2840 (Not Widebody and no over fenders)
Fitment, as others said, you going to need bigger wheels and rims and drop it to make it actually look nice. I assume 1.5 inch? but that is a guess. Ask MUZZY on this forum, maybe he can help you. Install is roughly around $1K-$2K with painting. I was quoted $2K for my RX-7 Veilside Fortune kit so I am assuming it should be in the same ballpark estimate.
Post back if you end up going through with it! would love to see. Btw, welcome to the Z community! Please do use the search function, it will save you time and help with eradicating duplicate threads. For example, your question has been asked before, https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...n-pricing.html
Ps. Look at shineauto, they make good kits that fit very well. I am wrapping my parts right now that I got from them and the fitment is perfect!
I would think mods like an exhaust and some suspension bits would put a much bigger smile on your face and obtain a better bang for your buck, then a bodykit
Body kit would look like crap with skinny stock wheels. Instead of the body kit, invest in wider wheels and tires and coilover kit. Then if u have money left over get an exhaust or a lip kit. Simply putting on a body kit with stock everything will look like garbage. Body kit should be the last mod u should make imo.
Wheels/tires/coilover/intake/exhaust

Here’s my 04 350Z w/ full WB Veilside Fairlady kit. I agree with the guy who mentioned also investing in wider wheels, throwing 20’s on it, and a suspension kit if you’re going to be getting the Veilside kit. But it was well worth it.
