Thumbs down LI Motorsports best time

It was a nice cool day but there was a nasty headwind. I ran mostly 14.0-14.1 in my bone stock Z. I tried to get in the 13s but traction really sucked. You could see from my 2.2 60ft. There was Phills Z with downpipe,CAI,NOS who ran low 13s. My friend with his G35 coupe 6sp with Ztube, cats, pulleys, plenum ran 14.1 Anyway here is my slip..

I see your trap speed is 103 with CAI. I guess it helps in the top end..I'm thinking of getting a true dual exhaust. Maybe a .2 of 1/4? I'm looking at 13.6 with 2.0 60ft?

I ran at LI motorsports last year. I got my best time of 14.078 with a 2.08 60 ft and a trap speed of 101.75. That was totally stock on a G35 coupe 6MT. I was actually pretty surprised since my best time with my mustang there was a 14.1 @98.7 mph. I could only manage a 2.1x 60 with that car on relatively sticky tires.

that was my first time at the track ....i figured it would be easier to hook up there than on the street. also i didn't like how we had to drive through water and that glue stuff for slicks. that probally killed my 60ft times too.

don't sweat it dude, when the weather warms up you'll be running low 14's / high 13's with the best of em. I could only eke out a 14.019 in my Z because I had an injured 2nd gear... would grind real hard if i powershifted. always had to doubleclutch that gear... my G35 tranny seems to be flawless... still took it easy on it because i've been traumatized by two failed trannies in the 350z i owned.

Dont drive through the water dude. thats for the guys to do burnouts.

Just drive right around it, spin ur tires for a second or two just to clean them off and you'll be good to go.

good luck next time
