Default '04 350Z Window won't retract

As the title says, I drive a 2004 350Z. The care has been a delight to drive for the many years I've owned it. Recently however my passenger side window is clipping the bottom of the arm that goes over the window and clicks a bit when rolling. It would appear that just the auto-retract isn't working properly. I have done some looking around and only seem to find posts concerning the window returning to the center position like when you use the full pull to raise the window (mine works fine). I have tried resetting the window motor but to no effect. I'm not much of a mechanic unfortunately so I'm unsure if I should just replace the unit due to mild clicking or if there is a fix since it works fine regularly (minus the drop/raise when opening/closing the door).

Welcome- you don't mention whether the PS window motor has ever been replaced. But it appears the problem is your window motor may be failing, and it's only a matter of time before it goes out completely. There's no "fix" for a malfunctioning motor, as if you search the threads, you'll find most people who clean and rebuild the motors end up replacing them in the end. Good luck!

To my knowledge the PS motor has not been replaced. I think you're right about just replacing it, I was just hoping to avoid changing something that wasn't really needed due to my ignorance. Thank you for the advise!
