Default Rust/Oil

Hello!

I recently got some new headlights installed, along with my front splash guards for my front inner tires. I'm a new owner of a 350z, 68k miles for about 8,000$.

I've been searching, googling and looking up and I'm getting mixed results for oil usage.

I've been looking at royal purple but that should only be used for racing or pushing it hard, Right? If it's still good if I don't do that, Please suggest what Oil and Oil filter to use below.

I've got a bit of a rust problem underneath, Not too deep and it appears to be near the place where you lift your car up. Passenger side, underneath it. It's not on the side where you put your car on jack stands but appears to be on the chassis I believe?

Any ideas on how to get rid of it without replacing the entire part? If so, please comment below.

Thank you!

mobile 1 is fine, are you talking about the M brace....about the middle of the car connecting the two sides of frame together? if so, drop it down, wire brush the hell out of it until surface rust is gone, then paint

To be honest, I'm not very sure myself.

Thank you for the oil, I'll make sure to use that one.

I'll attempt to wire brush it to hell, Thank you for the advice. I'll be putting the car on ramps to change my oil and I'll check it out and send a picture onto this forum hopefully to make sense of what part it is.

I've used royal purple before. All that matters is that you're running a proper oil weight. High heat (when racing) can thin and break down lighter oils so that would necessitate heavier stuff. But for daily driving, especially in the cold, the lighter stuff like 10W-30/40 is fine.
