Default Brickyard Evaluation

I have two z's on preorder one Performance LeMans Sunset and an Enthusiast Brickyard both coming within the month. If you could please give me a verbal discription of brickyard, I would be appreciative. That color does not photograph well and am not impressed with the pics I have seen on this site. I know the color must be outstanding but please give me an honest evaluation of the color. I have seen LeMans Sunset in person and am impressed. The LeMans Sunset is an amazing color that turns heads. Please no grey (light or dark) color discussions of how beautiful that color is - or red, black, white, blue. I know you like your colors. Just the few brickyards who have that color in their garage as we speak.

I have seen both in person and I have to say, the LeMans is definatly better. The Brickyard just doesn't show the lines of the car very well. The Brickyard is probably the only color that doesn't seem "natural". It's like a dark redish purple, really hard to describe. I think all the Z colors are beautiful but the LeMans is definatly the best.

I would talk to Dr. Bonz. He's the Brickyard specialist. Personally, both are very attractive, individual colors. I didn't think I'd like the Brickyard at first, but it's starting to grow on me. Both are pretty unique colors.

Right Roux, I just wish there were more brickyards I could see. Even Bonz pictures did not impress. It is too difficult a color to represent in pictures.

I've got a brickyard coming next week also. I sure hope I like it. I also thought the LeMans was great, but I'm a big Arkansas Razorback fan and the Texas Longhorns are a long time enemy. Plus, I live in Oklahoma, playground of the Sooners, so it would surely get keyed, even though the license plate will say SOOOOIE!

I was up between a Lemans and brickyard......... got the brickyard.

It does NOT SHOW well at ALL in pictures. Im very displeased with that. But in person, i get nothing but complements. In direct sunlight it has sparkles somewhat like a bass boat haa. NOt at BAD but you get what i mean.

In shadows and from a distance, brickyard looks black ( a good thing in my book ), up close or under the sun its stunning!

lazarus, that is exactly why I like the Brickyard and LeMans Sunset. The lighting makes the colors appear to come to life. Red, black white, blue and gray all look like red, black, white, blue and gray. I am interested in colors that excite, not that look like the regular "car" colors we all see too many of.

I've had the chance to see all the colors in person multiple times and without a doubt Brickyard is my least favorite color..

given your two finalists I'd go with Sunset Lemans.

Question What Color???

I spent literally MONTHS trying to decide what color to order. WHen the 350 finally started arriving at dealers, I traveled to see all the colors in person. There was not a Brickyard to be found anywhere, so I had to rely on pictures. No matter what pic I saw, the Brickyard looked like it had a purple hue to it so I passed. The 350Z is most definitely a car that does not have pictures do it justice, no matter what the color. My eyeballs told me that it came down to REDLINE or LEMANS SUNSET. I chose Lemans due to the uniqueness of the color. Nothing else like it on the road, a real attention getter on theis car. I think that redline, LeMans and blue will be the unique colors in this production run. I am told that about 60% of the first year production is Chrome Silver or Silverstone with Black close behind. Judging by my inquiries at dozens of dealers about their inventory and deliveries, that appears to be accurrate.

Whatever the color, it is a hot car!

FWIW
70 zcar (stock, gold)
78 zcar (modified, blue)
03 zcar (Enthusiast, LeMans Sunset, Feb.)

Never saw a Brickyard yet, but I am sure that you will see every paint chip in that hood. It looks like it has the downfalls of a black car.

I was torn between the Lemans Sunset and the Daytona and went with the Blue.

Joking, sort of, but yeah - brickyard seems to be the unique color, and I like it like that........
