I lost my owners manual and just recently tried to set up my homelink to open my garage with no success.

Will someone please give me a quick walk through?

is your garage door a newer model? if so, check to see if it recodes or changes codes after every operation. if so, homelink won't work with it. i tried programming mine for my mom's garage door and ran into that problem. it worked fine on my uncle's older door though.

 

Actully it works with the newer door openers too. You have to push the program button on the opener motor, not the remote door opener.

Does anyone know if you can program your homelink to open apartment gates? Our gates have a keyfob that you press. I tried it once, but no success.
