Default Homelink Help

I did a search and nothing helped my particular situation.

My garage door opener doesnt have a handheld remote. Does this mean i cannot program my homelink? Everything i searched mentioned a hand held remote, so my question is can i program a homelink mirror without a hand held remote?

Thanks

Yes you can. You will need to buy an additional receiver that connects to your button in your garage. The receiver will come with a remote and that is how you will program the homelink.

If you park the Z in that garage everyday, isn't it worth it to have a wireless transmitter anyway? Did you just lose yours? Replacements/transmitters are pretty cheap on ebay...

I'd like to know why the garage door doesn't have a remote to begin with. If its lost, cheap fix. If it isn't designed to have one, buy a new garage door opener; its probably ancient (loud, slow, no safety features, no rolling-code).

I love my homelink! Programmed for all garage doors of the garage just in case one decides not to work for some reason.

$25k plus Z vs. $70 remote, I'd get the remote and park the Z in ther garage!
