I will be switching over to synthetic oil soon and was wondering if most are using 5W-30? I was thinking of using Mobil-1 5W 30. Any comments?

Thanks

I just change my oil yesterday and I used mobil 1 supersyn and mobil i oil filter part # 108. It cost me about approximately $32 to change your oil. I did use 5w-30 as well. i almost tried the 0w-30 coz' i heard it barely usess gas when you use this. correct me if i'm wrong peeps.

5w-30 just means it's thinner than 10w-30 when it's cold...thinner means it's easier to start the engine when cold.

when it's at operating temps, 5w-30 and 10w-30 would be at the same thickness (thus the 30)

5w-30 shouldnt make too much of a mpg difference...

10-30 grade is good for all temperature conditions. Synthetic oil has less friction then conventional oil. The manual recommends 5-30 nonsynthetic oil.
