Default 2009 400z

New sport compact car had spied photos on new 2009 400Z.
They said it would have 4.0 v8 liter with around 400hp.
Possible all wheel drive option.

Time to sell the Z.

Most Z purists will not accept a V8 Z. There was a time when the concept Z pre-2002 was going to possibly have a 4 cyl engine but the ZCCA would have had a cow and the American consultants pushed for the V6.

The power would be great but a TT V6 version would be great too.

According the the "experts" the 06 was suppose to be TT. Look what happened. I wouldn't bust a nut over a possible V8 so soon.

I wouldn't even want a Z to come with a V8 TBH........ I don't really have a reason for it, it just wouldn't be right IMO.

considering those pictures were first taken by an online automotive site, i think the magazine is misconstruing what was stated in its original text.

i dont remember much but i do know that "V8" and "all-wheel drive" was never in there

I'd buy a V8 Z. Could you imagine how good it would sound?

isnt v8 too heavy for a nice suspension that the Z has?

v6 helps it say in the import tuner world.
a v8 would ruin the japanese concept of "small engine, fast car".

id also buy a corvette and run every Z out of the drag strip haha. :P

Price will be too high if it's a V8, plus why would i sell a Z to buy a Z? You usually want to move UP. After the Z i will plan on getting eighter a slightly used e92 M3 or a Slightly used 997 (bt then the 998 will be out).

Nissan has pushed back the redesign from 2009 to 2011....I think I saw on Torque Report. How valid? I have NO clue. IMO, they wouldnt announce a competitor to their GTR so quickly.
