This really got me thinking if the vette is going for 39.9 then a 40k z would be illogical to purchase since you are indeed getting less then for what you could get with that 40k. The point being isn't the price of the car compared to your salary ... but the price of the car compared to the best bang for the buck!

I can afford the 370Z at that price but why would I want to when I could buy something alot nicer for the $40k it would probably cost me to get a decently loaded 370Z?

Nissan went down this road before and it almost killed the Z car along with the entire company

How heavy is the Camaro..3700 pounds??? Do you want primarily straight line performance or a quick, nimble, and fast corner carver= Sports Car.

Don't get me wrong, the Camero appears to be a REALLY cool car and I have nothing against it. We will see what GM quality is like on it however. Also, it is not a sports car...

MUSCLE car: Yes....
SPORTS car: No....

The Z will now be playing in different circles, staying close to the Vette (maybe a few steps down but not much) in performance. Nissan appears to be working hard to blend some of the Mazda DNA into their cars' (GTR, Z??) driving experience, making it simply fun to drive. Of course, that is on paper, the real test remains to be seen.

Case and point, if you REALLY want a very cool looking muscle car (that more than likely will still not beat the Z 0-60 or in the quarter even) by all means look toward the Maro (or Stang GT500 or Challenger). However if you are seeking a sports car that does not have as much torque, but WILL run and be a corner carver, the Z it is.

Some people dont care whats best for their money. Dont know why its so hard for some to see or accept that.

Example: (excluding a complete dud) If your are diehard Z fan your gonna get one, regardless of price or performance. Just check the number of positive vs negative posts.

Come on guys your on a Z site. Most here are Z fans.
