370Z spotted with Carbon Fiber roof....
I drive a BMW 335i and so does my buddy.
We are both car fans and we live in the San Fernando Valley.
We OFTEN see prototype cars driving around since we live not far from the Angeles Crest highway and one of the main routes to Willow Springs race track.
So again, seeing camo'd cars is not too unusual for us.
I was just talking to him about the 370Z a day or two ago.
So this morning he calls me to say he's driving along side one and he said it had a Carbon Fiber roof.
Not sure if this is old news or not, but if so, looks like they went the BMW M3 route for weight reduction and lowering center of gravity.
I'm sure it will be a $1000-2000 option (or standard on the higher priced "track" model) but either way, figured I'd either let you guys know, or if you already knew, let you in on the fact the 370Z is currently driving around So Cal as I type.

Useless Thread With No Pics..............My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw the 370z at 31 Flavors last night but I don't have pics either.

Just thought I'd pass the word on.
He's a close buddy of mine, his wife's long time friend owns a Nissan dealership, and he's a car freak who tracks his car and his cart.
I know he didn't get pics, but he knows what carbon fiber looks like and he knows what the current 350Z looks like.
Just because it's camo'd doesn't mean the roof is.
Like I said, I also live in so cal and see camo'd cars all the time, and often take pics if I can.
Several of the pics you guys have seen of other camo'd cars probably came from me at one point.
I've submitted them to many magazines who've printed a few.
And almost never do they have camo on the roof!
Guess we'll all find out soon if my buddy was right.
But if it ends up being the case, guess you will know where you heard it first.
And if it ends up NOT being the case, I still believe he it, he was driving along side it he said. Afterall, it's still a prototype and Nissan might be doing "testing" with a CF roof or putting one on the pre-pro cars to shake things up a bit.

"I drive a BMW, not a Z but I thought I'd let you guys know that my friends best friends dad's two year old son saw the 370Z with a carbon fiber hood. He didn't get any pics but I promise he saw it."

YAAAWN......

I bet you always have your camera on and at the ready to take pics just in case you see something too huh?
So when you tell your friends you met a hot girl last night that you got it on with, do they say to you, "YAWN, worthless and pointless without pics"?
Yeah, thought so?
If you some of you guys don't have anything to contribute but criticism or just simply don't believe it, move on. Your posts otherwise are the ones that are truly worthless, sorry.

I'm actually liking what I see and hear about the 370Z.
It should have stock 335i acceleration (or a bit more) and M3 handling (or better) for hopefully around $35k well equipped.
Not a bad thing.
Just wish they would of dumped the NA V6 and gone the way of BMW with a twin turbo 3.0 liter 6.
Smaller, lighter, with more power and equal gas mileage.
Would of been great to have that option.
Then it's a simple chip tune (or piggyback) away from much more power.
But anyway, that's OT.
Again, just thought I'd pass on what a good trusted friend of mine saw today about the CF roof on the 370Z to you Z enthusiasts.
You can believe it or not, that's your choice, but thought you guys might be more excited, rather than all cynical and critical.
Oops, sorry, my bad....I guess.
