Speaking of the 370z, when the are at stock height and have no mods, Id rather a 350z all day but.... When they are lowered and have a nice nismo kit and some nice wheels, they look like little gt-r's very sexy....

 

I should of had my boys line up alittle better...

Again they should of changed the Z subtly like the 240z/260z/280z...little changes! Seeing they did three engine changes along with small exterior/interior refinements with the 350Z in its lifespan. I had high hopes for the 370z.

You can't compare the two. There is a fairly big power gap, so comparing performance is meek. Handling it should be better, they've had 7 years playing with the z33 chassis to see where it lacks. And it shows, wider and shorter chassis makes for going round turns faster. But the nismo 370 is sex.

Why not have both? Ls1 z33 for the weekends and a nismo 370 for the daily commute? Besides for the price I don't think there's a better Off the showroom floor sports car under 40k.

 

The Z died after the z32 ended... It still has some good things about it but the best leap was 1990

 

I actually love the 370Z because it resembles the older 240Z more...went back to its roots.

I remember first seeing it and not loving it because all I wanted was a 350....it grew on me quickly...expecially with the widness of the rear...

 

obviously the 370z SHOULD be better than the previous model 350z...if the 350z would be better than the new 370z than Nissan would b F'n up!!! yes the 350 value went down just because the 370 is the new better model but does not mean the 350 is not a good car...the 350zHR is what 4years old? n it still beats new cars from 2011...yeah now a days more lil kids getting their hands on the 350 but later on more kids gonna get their hands on the 370...that's the car cycle n i hope by then i can get my hands on a GTR

 

the 370Z is a rushed, half-assed next gen 350Z. It's like someone took the 350Z clay model, and swiped their finger down the side, and sent that **** into production.

I agree with TehKmob for the most part, but I'll be driving my LQ powered 600Z daily lol there's no 370Z available that could make me smile more

i dunno..just seen a 370 Z nismo..It looks like what the 370 should of looked like when it came out. I wouldn't even mod it if i could get my hand on 1

 

When i went car shopping on may i had my mind set on either a white 370z or a black 350z (the on i bought) and I actually liked the 370z when i test drove it performance and interior wise. But i was just not digging the headlights or tailights and the fangs wouldnt be a problem since i could always just buy a lip kit and black them out. I was either going to buy a 18k black base 350z for 16k or get a white 09 base 370z with 29k for 25k. At the end i decided that i want the performance of the 370z but the looks of the 350z so i just figured i could just mod the 350z with that extra money and so i went with the 350z. I have no regrets whatsoever buying the 350z. just my .02 imo the 350z looks more smoothly shaped and the 370z just outperforms and has better interior than the 350z, but still that 7-10k difference its not worth it imho

 

I would have liked it if they decided to go against the lighter faster idea and went towards the more refinement. same power more mpg. same weight, more sound deadening.

I also agree the infiniti upgrade is smoother/subtle than the Z's...

 

go buy a prius or mercedes. seems like they would more fit your taste. you dont like real sports cars Homie. Its like my buddy that complains about his v8 mustang droning and how crappy the interior is lol.

on topic. are they gonna change the back tail light area on the 370 for future models maybe a nismo v2/3 with a better wing and tail light design.

everyone i talk to says the same thing. "the 370 back end looks like crap. those tail lights are hideous!" and i agree. the more i look at the back the less i can accept the car. i really want to like the 370 but they NEED to change the tail lights BAD.

um does anyone like the g37 more than the g35 even? referring to kingbaby's pic, look at the back bumper, tail and head lights of the near perfect g35. then look at the hacked hundai looking g37.

I will say the nismo 370 front is the best looking front end ive seen on a nissan. now if the new gtr and the 370 just switched back ends we would have a sexy supercar.

 

Does anyone else feel like they love the 370 one day and hate it the next? ...

after posting my previous criticisms on the 370 i felt like i was a little harsh and ay have come off as a 'non' fan. I actually really like how it is tougher and buffer than the sexy smooth voluptuous 350. the tail lights are a problem but the whale tail back ends look incredible, i love the unique flat fenders, and the powerful bulging front. its a very intimidating looking car. its harsh on the eyes at times but it reminds me of the cool ugliness of the previous GTRs.

best way ive found to describe the 350/370 differences is beauty and the beast.

 

370 with an aggressive stance is pure sex imho.

 

Won't argue that, but it seems again that 20 is the cure to those huge wheel wells...

I wanted a dark blue '92 300zx Swapped with RB26 (ahh teenage dreams...) Now I love the 350z and the 300zx looks old. I Sill love it but it would be hard to give it an updated look if you don't have an eye for that sort of thing (I don't). I think the 370z front inlet for the radiator is *** ugly and I hate that lense in the rear bumper for a center backup light or back up cam. Other than that I think the car is beautiful. Also I want THE HR HOOD ON THE 370z (SOOOO BAD!) Might fab one up if I buy a 370 to replace my 350...
