LOL @ 12 pages of this still...... Its his opinion on if he likes it or not, it doesnt matter that the 370Z is better in just about every way.... If he doesnt like the looks or how it rides he will still hate it.

Like I have stated before, I have owned both the 350Z and 370Z and the Z34 is my favorite for reasons that may not make you like it.... But that is why its your opinion.

^^^ Agreed. The OP will stubbornly hate the 370z no matter what anyone says. Funny how people are trying to convince him to like it.

Funny how I felt the same way about the 370z as the OP back in 2008. But now its 2012 (HAPPY NEW YEARS!!) and the 370z is one of my favorite cars. ALWAYS turns my head when ever I see one. Some designs REALLY DO take time to sink in. Like the Evo X and GTR.

The OP has their oppinion and I have mine. The 370z is a major improvement over the 350z. In looks and everything else. I have not run into one person that has seen my car in person that disagrees. Haters will always hate, you just can't change that.

I know why everyone hates the 370Z. It looks like a Porsche. LOL!

Big reason I like it! I call my 370Z "my poor mans Porsche".

I think the controversy over the 370 would have been quite different if the car didn't look anything like a 350. Sure there would have been complaints of one kind or another but there would have been no grey area where the two cars seem to overlap as they do now. I look forward to the next complete re-design. Hopefully the 370 will be the only time Nissan tries to increment the Z car from one model number to the next. But there have been rumors the next Z will have lines similar to the old 300Z. Time will tell.

That would be nice, I loved the 300zx. They (NISSAN) has incremented the styling cues before i.e. 240z 260z 280z. So subtle that you couldn't tell! Many 300zx owners hated the way the 350z looked as well! I can't lie either the first impression was "WTF". Then all the chasis improvemnts set in, and the nismo was the icing on the cake for me! Still the 370Z

You know what in the 70's (I'm dating myself here) the Z was considered a poor man's Corvette and a Porsche was a squashed VW or High Performance Carman Ghia.

Times have changed ... I like the low insurance and 9/10 performance of the Z vs a Porsche. I can actually use a Z as a daily driver. I do not know if I would use a Porsche for that duty though.

I do agree ... the Z looks like a poor (smart) man's Porsche. Though if given a Porsche or unlimitted cash .... I'd drive a Porsche daily to be honest.

This is just silly... the hate. It's been a while since I've posted here, but STOCK for STOCK the 370Z is a far superior car to the 350Z!! From styling to performance (period) Car manufactures don't go out and set the bar equal to what they did 9yrs prior, lol!

The 350Z had it's time and place and I bought one because it looked better than the Audi TT and equaled a Mustang GT in grunt.

This is a red 370Z from 09 with some photochoped 325's in back and a blacked out rear.
Kind of amazing how some serious rubber can change the look of a serious sports car, too bad this is what it takes IMHO to make it legit. The NISMO came damn close though... there is a beautiful example here on my350 of a white one from 2010 that was TT'd and eventually sold. It was sick and basically stock!

This is also a familar Z that has no body work, just well positioned wheels and lowered ride height.

^^agreed. i tried to tell the many who doubted the 370Zs look when spy shots were out. its easy to see if a car has potential and the 370z had so much. only few has a keen eye for universal good aesthetics. i feel like im one of them.

I've been through 3 C6 Corvettes since selling my 350Z in 2005 and while I'm anticipating the C7, I thought I'd try another Z for a while. I must say the 370Z has grown on me and the car is far superior to the 350Z in every way. With the synchro-rev, it's a blast to drive and even more fun than my last Corvette was. The car has enough power (unlike the 350) to keep me happy enough so I don't have install FI.

Last month I picked up this 2010 anniversary edition in mint condition with only 3K miles for $32K. You can't beat the bang for the buck value of this stellar sports car. I'm still a Corvette fan and I will have another at some point, but for now, I'm lovin' this Z.

I still don't have that much knowledge on the 370 nismo's tho, are they limited like the 350's were or will they make as many 370 nismos as the consumer wants, i.e no limited production number and just a serial number to say it's authentic?

Thanks. I think the anniversary color combo (quartz paint, red calipers, red leather) really enhances the 370Z's stunning design. I modded the hell out of my 350Z, but there's not much I'm going to do this car. The fact that I got a 7 year Nissan warranty with it may have something to do with that, but this car really addresses most of the 350's shortcomings quite well. I almost always do wheels on my cars, but changing out the specially painted Rays sport wheels seems unnecessary. I did add 20mm spacers and I will add an oil cooler, but beyond those, I think I'm done. You never know though.......I saw some killer Work wheels with a bronze lip that would look amazing on this car. Sigh......

no...the 350 is more rare. The numbers reset each year with the 370Z

keeping the HATE alive...thumbup:...many who jumped to the 370Z didn't own a 07-08...

If you don't mind me asking, why have you been through 3 C6's?

I recently had the opportunity to pick up an Anniversary Edition and was literally a signature away from buying it, but changed my mind at the last minute. Decided to keep my 350 (especially since it's paid off) throw new wheels on it and slight body changes and save my money.

More than likely, going to keep the 350 for two more years and then buy a C6 Z06. But I'm intrigued to hear you've gone through so many C6's and are now at a 370?!

The first was on '06 convertible that I sold after the roof was cut twice. Bought a new '07 coupe that was eventually rear-ended. I sold it after it was fixed (just couldn't stand the misaligned panels from the repair). I picked up another '07 coupe, loaded in mint condition for $34K....a steal at the time. Last summer, I was offered $35K for it. I was already looking forward to a C7 so I took the money and ran. Started getting itchy for another sports car a couple of months ago but I just couldn't see getting another C6. I wanted something different. I dislike Porsches (long story) and considered the Camaro, but the quality just wasn't there. After driving a 370Z, I found it to be quite a bit of fun and of a much higher build quality than my Vettes.

It's not my dream car, but I do like it and it will fill the time until the C7, Jaguar C-X16, or next gen GT-R become available.
