hahaha, so many foolish comments on this thread. So going from the styling of a g35 to a g37 is way better, but from a 350z to a 370z is somehow not? They pretty much had the same changes with both cars.
And a 350z is classy, but somehow a 370z is not? Wtf?!!! I had 3 350z's, I traded up to a 370z. This car is amazing and destroys any of my 350z's in almost every category. That said, I love Z's. And if my 350z was paid off, I prob would just kept it. But it wasnt and I raised my car payment slightly, but got a much better car in return.

I'm seeing now this thread may not die!
like I have stated before maybe not in this thread but on the 370z site. Putting a 350z next to a 370z makes shows the dislikes everyone has with the car. It's fat, has fangs, and the 240z styling is just flare.
I like the nismo 370z though

My $0.02 having owned both now. The 350 and 370 both look good in there own way, the 350 to me flows and just looks slick. The 370 is hard edged and mean looking compared to the 350z. The 350 by far was quieter to drive down the road then the 370 is, I noticed that right on the test drive. The interior is where I snark at the 370 compared to the 350, I had a 05 Z before they did the refresh or lci for 06. All aluminum excepting the shifter base and the pedals was replaced for painted plastic that looks like aluminum. Why? So that you could have a soft touch dash? Or the suede inserts on the door? Who gives a damn? Also why the hell was a clock put on the dash? You couldn't have put a oil pressure gauge or a digital speedo? Hell we could go real old school, why not a g meter gauge?
All in all my opinion is both cars are nice in there own ways, there both Nissans and that's just fine by me.

I like the 370 much more than the 350. I sold my Z a couple years ago, so I don't have to try to justify my old purchase to myself, claiming the 350 is the superior vehicle. WHen I return to the states, my GTR will be put on weekend-status, and I'll be looking to get into a 370, without a doubt.

I dig 'em, especially the Nismo. My car is paid off and I'm having fun modding it, but if I were to get a Z right now it would be the 370 or whatever the future holds. Fortunately though I'm probably going to end up with a GTR or a Porsche in 3 years or so. Just gonna have fun with my 350 while I have it.
Also, I rarely see them around Houston, and when I do it's a head turner for me. I see too many BMW's, Mercs, weak Porsche's, etc. and they don't turn my head at all. Too common.

I agree with the above poster about wasting one of the in-dash instrument mounts with a clock. I also don't like the little digital thingy to the left of the steering wheel that shows fuel level and if I remember correctly, water cooling temps. It doesn't flow ergonomically. I don't hate the 370 per se...I'm simply not attracted to it and looking forward to what comes next (hopefully something just as revolutionary as the 350 was when it first appeared in 2003). I think Nissan has to know-how to pull that off.

Honestly, you cant say that the 370z is a landslide faster than the 350. We all know a stock HR can get almost 13 flat and a stock 370 can get maybe 12.8 or 12.9 in the quarter mile, with 0-60 of 5.1 and 0-60 of 4.7 to match. Handling may be another story though, 370z has shorter wheelbase and is wider. It obviously can outperform the 350z, but not by a whole lot. I used to think it was ugly as sin too, but now the 370 is really growing on me, especially black on black or red on black, which i think are the best colors for the 350 and 370. One thing i do give the 370 is a more refined exhuast, but dont get me wrong i like the Z exhaust as much! Both awesome cars, but honestly the 370z is a little bit better, but then it should be, being a newer car!

The 370z roadster has a much better side profile than the 350z roadster. The 70's curves give the car a much shorter retro appearance even though overall length isn't nearly that much shorter. My one ascetic complaint about my 350z roadster is that with the top down from the A pillar back is pretty much a flat line that makes the car look longer than it is and makes the cars already big round *** look even bigger.

The 370 is shorter and wider and I think the roof is just a bit lower than the 350.
But I still wonder why the 370 looks so huge when I see one in person. It must be an optical illusion but I can't pinpoint what contributes to it. Any ideas? Could it be due to an increased body panel surface area in proportion to the windows? I don't think the surface area of the windows were changed much between the two cars. That's the only theory I can come up with at this point but don't have a 370 to measure and compare. I do know that in profile the 370 looks like a wall compared to the 350.
