11 pages in and I still hate it...
Let's continue this horse beating only if the 370Z is the horse...
It's like the kardashians, the 370Z is the one dating the Lamar Odom...

We may see a turbo Z. Manufactures such as Hyundai are dropping the V6 and replacing it with a turbo-4. If Nissan could keep the 370Z horsepower, and drop the weight by 200 pounds, I think we have a winner.
So you are say they should put a turbo 4cyl. that makes the poers of the 370z?
1) Smaller engine bay --> less weight
2) Less weight --> smaller brakes
3) Smaller tires --> less weight
4) Ad infinitum
5) And more torque.
6) Better mpg.
7) More moddable.
8) WIN
Think of this: http://www.arielatom.com/specs/atom-500-v8
instead of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Aventador
They're both fast, but the ATOM is +50% cheaper, faster and looks a whole lot more fun. Although the lambor is probably a better chick magnet, I'll give you that.

We all know the 370z "handles and outpowers" the 350z. No shet?
Just wish the Z was more relevant to the market segment as it was in 2003. The 370z styling will go by way of the 260z and 280z, for me at least. Just a blip when I look back.
I'm going to have to pass for now, at least until they have another milestone design revamp:
240z(70's)...300zx(80's)...300zx (90's)...350z (00's)...
And while the 370z outhandles and outpowers the 350z does it outhandles and outpowers the 350z to the tune of $35,000 or $50,000 when you count tax and interests?
I think not.
And they lost the appeal when it failed to tap into my more emotional / aesthetic side.

I would like to. But I'm hard pressed justifying the purchase, really hard pressed. Too many choices. All the competition comes with turbo charged engines: WRX (new one is coming out, with just as many ponies as the Z and plenty more TORQUE). The 1-series - same story, extra back seat and more TORQUE. They're all ugly but then so does the Z.
At the price Z is competing, Turbo should have come standard! At the very least a DI.
Own a 350z vert, fun to drive, but feels like driving a truck around the corner so ponderous... :/ Sigh.

Besides a lot of people do not desire FI, extra running costs and plain and simple, would probably write the car off in very short order.
The basic spirit of the Z car, going back to the 240z, was a 2 seater sports car/coupe. If 4 seats or 2+2 is required, that's a G35 or the like.

If you bought a 350Z when it was new you would have to pay tax + interest as well.

Why not? This 2.0 liter turbo from Hyundai makes 274 horsepower. You need another 50 horsepower to be in the 370Z rage. Question is is there a weight savings? Is the weight savings significant to increase performance?

Ah...the facts...
Cut out the headlight bump however aerodynamic
Cut out the creases in the hood maybe a hump
Cut out about two inches from the side profile
Make the Nismo front end standard
Hey I'm no design artist, but I know for a fact we'd all drop the 350Z if
