The styling of the 350 will always be better than that of the 370, the 350 is smooth, the 370 is really boxy and the boomorang lights don't really do it for me and I'm aussie.

Styling though wouldn't be what would stop me buying a car, if I didn't have a 08 350, sure I would go pick up a 370, I really think the main sex appeal of the 350 is the rear lights, they look great. The 370 will be superior mechanically also in the interior department, but I don't think the exterior looks as good as the 350.

i don't know how many times i have to say this the 350z will be the looker while the 370 will be the performer. The lines of this car hinders its ability to look as good as the 350. The car from the back end is horrible. From the b pillar back the car looks like a damn station wagon.

Don't understand on how ppl can judge on something that is not yet the finished product. There's still a little bit of camo on the car still, and as for the height issue, I've seen spy pics with the Z34 10in off the ground and some that is 5in off the ground. Spy photos only give you an idea about what it looks like. So take it with a grain of salt.

Don't call it ugly or nice yet people. Wait till you see it completely naked at the debut next month and until you see one in person.

This is OT, but in regards to camo do you guys remember the Camaro test mule? It had some hideous cheapie APC-looking head lights. It stirred controversy because it was nowhere near as nice compared to the concept, so people thought the car was getting dumbed down. Now look at the final product... those headlights sport large projectors and angel eye lighting. O_O

People have their opinions. Not everyone is going to like the 370Z. I am guessing the vast majority will think it is an improvement over the 350Z in every way. Not since the 240Z have I been so interested in a particular Z.

I am guessing even some of the "hard core" Z enthusiasts will be interested in the 370Z, the guys stuck in the 240Z days. The 240Z had a cult following. I must admit, I was part of that group. I had every book, article, webpage bookmarked on the Z. I flew to Z shows and attended meetings. I knew when any new modified part was available. I had to have the best I could get on my 240Z. I think this 370Z , with its shortened wheelbase, lighter chassis, and 240Z elements, will gain the interest of even the old school 240Z lovers. And it will gain interest in others who would not have considered the 350Z before. Nissan did a great job.

I like everything about it EXCEPT the round to point edge in the roof/windshield, along with the window. If they would had kept the older style roundness to that they would have really had something.

Funny, that is one of the things I like, if you are referring to what I think you are. It is just like the 240Z, and I liked that aspect of it very much. But we all have different tastes.

bump!

Since the release, what's everyone opinions now seeing it on the road? Having friends own them, and having it grow on you. What do you have to say?

I'll have to say that they are definitely starting to grow on me more, specially the 370Z Nismo. There is something about the stock wheels though that I still don't like.

I live in the DC Metro area. I drive to NH and upstate NY on a fairly regular basis. To date, I have seen a total of five 370's on the road. In two cases I asked the driver how they liked the car (they both said they did of course). Not much of a showing in terms of numbers if you ask me.

For myself, I'm eagerly awaiting the next generation Z...that should tell you what I think of the 370...plain and simple.

Could it be that they remind you of a set of open end wrenches? Or perhaps chrome plated crab legs? Does Edward Scissorhands come to mind when you look at them? Hope this helps put a finger on what that "something" is.

I'm not looking forward to the next generation Z actually. To me they completely missed the mark with the 370Z....seems they're going to continue to do so...

I know it's beating a dead horse, but hey it's fun!

my 370Z dislikes again!

- it's too porky
- the hood is too GT-R
- buldge on headlights too ricey
- fangs
- small interior

too many more too list

However I like the Nismo version alot...even though it's watered down much.

+ how the fenders look like the car was pressed from the sides, best i can describe it lol

the nismo looks better than normal because it looks closer to a 350 imo.
i just wish the 350 came with aluminum doors and hatch too

+100000

I prefer the style of the 370 to the 350. The cantilevered roofline similar to the GTR is really the highlight of the car for me. However, I agree the tail and headlights missed their mark.

I was waiting on the 370z to get back into a Z.. Although the styling has grown on me, it is a huge disappointment..

-Drove 4 different 370's.. All started to see higher temps as I drove it (only some spirited driving, ) It's foolish that you would need to buy an oil cooler, just for city driving!
-OC, with the 3.7 motor is quite disappointing for someone who came from 2 different Revup zeds...The last thing I want to hear about is oil consumption. (I know of at least half a dozen 3.7 motor replacements, all local)
-The 370z nismo model is a joke! Nothing really unique about it.. (Besides the badging)

At this point, I am looking into a 350z Nismo.
