Default 370Z@Borla Performance - New Video clip!

Hi, this is Alvin from Borla Performance in Oxnard, CA. We are in the process of developing our exhaust offerings for the new 370Z and we wanted to reach out to you guys for some feedback on what you might be looking for in an exhaust. Any feedback you have regarding sound, performance, tip styles, price etc. would be greatly appreciated.

For tips...
JMO but NO roll tips.

I prefer Double wall slant cut
(not the best example, but the general idea)

True Dual Exhaust with an X-Pipe if there is room, If not then an H-Pipe would do fine.

The typical Quality Borla mufflers would be nice.

Keep up the good work.

you guys make great sounding exhaust systems. aside from HP gains, I think the general exhaust buyer is looking for something a bit more aggressive (deeper), a bit louder, and something that distinquishes the appearence away from the stock look. people like to be unique. you know this already, keep doing what you do : )

No clamps. This is what turned me off from buying Borla. My buddy has one on his 350 and I liked the sound, and he said he noticed a little extra oomph, but he also had it in the shop a few times because it shifted due to the clamps.

I'm not sure I understand... Help me understand this issue of using clamps. Btw, we use Accuseal clamps. Thanks.

Something that also sounds good when its got no cats.. for us lucky enough not to have emissions testing.. I chose the Top Speed 3" for mine with test pipes and its super loud but damn everyone loves the sound of it.

If your looking for a test mule let me know I might be getting a 370 within the week.

Personally I really like the styling of this:

As far as sound... I like the particular note that the Z's and G's put out now but I would like it to be a bit more throaty but retain that hi pitch. I know Borla has been known to sound deeper than that but if you could retain more of a "Tubi" sound, then great.

Stainless is fine for material, it doesn't have to be all funky colored like the Ti in the above photo. Not only that but the price can get completely ridiculous for some of those setups ($5000 +) ... that's just stupid. I would consider a new Borla system in the $400 - $600+ range for stainless.

Keep me up on what you're developing as I am currently in the market for one to go along with my Jim Wolf Tech dual POP charger intakes I just got.

Research the Stillen. Exactly like that with slanted tips.

My two cents... please make it durable, light weight (compact) and makes power... Doesn't have to be a double wall tips, that just adds weight...

I think what makes Borla exhaust unique for the 350Z was be able to make power at a slight sound increase. Some people LOVE to have sleeper cars.

Please incorporate an X-pipe. It would also be nice to include TEST pipes with the cat-back as a combo deal.

Don't make it too loud or too obvious. The stock 370z is already fairly loud. It should be deeper but not loud.

The Stillen on my old G35 sedan droned SOOO bad I was forced to remove it. I wasn't a fan of the Borla tips as much as the Stillen/Nismo tips for the 350z, but generally Borla's sound great so you guys probably can make a pretty good solution.

Accuseal clamps still leak after time. I removed that crap and welded the whole thing before I dumped the exhaust.

Honestly for the amount of money you guys charge for the exhaust, it should be much better quality IMO. Did sound nice though.

I think too many "Enthusiasts" cry about drone... Turn up the radio old men.

Loud, deep and makes pwr...
