I was getting my car looked at this weekend and while i was there i test drove the 370z. First impression, It felt slower than my 03 just higher rev limit. Also it kept reving up like 3 time just out of the blue. It was very odd and annoying! I do like the newer interior and the rear but not worth selling the 350. I just rather tt my car.

Unless your 350 is FI, the 370 is not slower.

The revving you're describing is the rev-match of the sport 370. You can turn it off, or buy one without the sport package.

I'll admit it is quicker than the 350z but not by much - it probably has similar performance to the older E46 M3 which is marginally quicker than a stock 350z. Styling has definitely been improved on the inside and I like the sound of the "self-healing" polymer paint.

More opinion: I wouldn't call the 350 or the 370 "the greatest Z ever made"...There are so many variables to consider. One part of me would vote for the 240Z, while the other would check the box next to Z32TT.

Stock vs. stock? Stock 370 vs stock 300ZX TT? Reality check for your "meets". A lighter car with more HP - hmmm...

the 300zx? no not stock
but not more then 305 hp. the 370 has more power then the 300zx. even the 350z hr does.
the stock tt power wasnt great for tt's

"reality check" ???
is it just me or does everyone on the forums have to be mad when posting on controversal issues

calm down man

plus it happens all the time. (lighter/faster car being beaten by heaver/less powerful cars. y? i dont know)
i beat a 490hp cobras once and my friends non stock c6 vette everytime but sometimes (like last saturday) i got beat by a mach 1(305hp stock i think). even tho i think he was running nos by the look of the race. i still admit i lossed but i was almost 3 cars ahead of him by 3rd gear with the racec almost over and all of a sudden he suddenly speed past me like his car was on steroids or something. never got to talk to him afterwards so i dont know if he had it or not tho

sh** happens
but the 370z i raced alot so im saying that it not unbeatable by the 350z.
anybody else race them yet. come on im not the only one...right?!?

o and i raced it a while back when my car was alot closer to stock weight. about - 50lbs (nothing to big)
now if i raced again its not a stock vs stock race so it doesnt matter what the outcome is if i race him again cus im even faster now.

300zxTTs are so easily and cheaply modified to ~350rwhp that any kid with a few $k can pick up a beat one and modify it to this power level.

I'm just going by having driven all 3 cars: stock and modified 300s and 350s and a stock 370Z (as well as G37S). Given 100 roll-ons of each car head-to-head, the stock 370 is faster than a stock 350 more often than not. At some point soon, we're going to do a friendly head-to-head of my modified 350 and ZCG's 370Z. It makes 20 more rwhp at stock vs. our modded 350, so I'm not hopeful.

The 300 is a wild card for sure. Like I said, $1k in mods and they're at ~350rwhp give or take depending on tune, octane, type of dyno, etc. At the 370Z release party with "FollowtheNissanZ" I was rolling by one of their 370Zs in my very powerful 300ZXTT. I was surprised at how long the 370 hung around as we rolled through the throttle.

This is getting a lot like bench racing, so I apologize for that.

anyways ya i agree on the 300zx and its power. we have 8 300zx all ranging from stock to 2 versions with 500-600 wheel hp depending.
the one that raced the 370 was a stock tt with a ....intake i think.lol its a new car to him. hes starting over with a new car so...ya

i cant wait to see the 350 and the 370 go at it. if you need any help just hit me up.
O and next time i race the 370 i'll tape it for fun

You guys need to stop comparing these cars drag racing. The 300zx was the last car that Nissan made putting power over handling. c'mon guys! Stop living your lives "a quarter mile at a time" haha

it's what you guys are doing saying one car will win against the other by just listing mods. LOL

true.... but when u start puting the car handling to the test onthe track run vs track run then it starts to be more about the driver and a little less about just the car. quarter miles take more of the driver out of the equation and thats ideal when comparing just the cars
