I ask b/c I make a hardpipe kit like that, and was curious if it was mine (there have been knockoffs made since).

 

Still haven't driven one, but I don't see it as enough of an upgrade to bother with seeing as I already have a late model 350Z. Now C6 ZO6, *that* would be an upgrade.

He seems like he'd be a cool guy in person. Just sucks that he is one of those look-at-me-cool-guys on the forum, by spouting off total BS, bragging, then bailing when called out on his stated claims.

He said he beats all these cars that are clearly faster than him. Street racing FTL, let's move on.

He said he has 4 cars in his name - people asked to see them. One in particular, the 280ZX TT, is of honest interest to me. IF TRUE, that is totally cool, as I only know of one other TT'd 280ZX.

He said he is 21 and working on a Masters degree, and said, "what were YOU doing when YOU were 21" like a douche. That is awesome, again assuming it is true. I asked what college he got his BS from and what engineering field. Again he bailed when asked a question probing for details, leaving one to assume he is full of crap. Most people don't come on here bragging about their background or what cars they own, but if asked, one would assume they would answer rather than taking offense and heading for the door.

I'll go first - when I turned 21, I was entering my senior year in college like most other people while pursuing a BS in engineering, working p/t, drinking until I couldn't see, and dating every hot chick that gave me the time of day. When I was 21 and 364 days, I was taking GMATs, applying to graduate school, working p/t, drinking until I couldn't see, and dating every hot chick that gave me the time of day. I didn't buy my first Z (300ZX TT) until I was 22 and earned my BS degree and was transitioning into graduate school. All the while I was still working p/t, drinking until I couldn't see, and dating every hot chick that gave me the time of day.

 

cant remember where i saw it, but theres a video comparing 370 and cayman. cayman, (base edition, not even S) beat the 370. cayman cost a bit more and the commentator/host noted that, and it was money well spent. the cayman outperformed the 370.

chevy didnt make a 350 big block theres a 348 big block. 350 is a small block.

 

I just read 9 pages of craziness at 1 am...I own a 370z and love it. Dont think i could smoke a c6 though...

+1 all personal opinions aside, this is a fact.

 

Months later, I drove the 370 again. Just to give it another chance. Regardless of 'specs' I don't like the look on the outside or the feel of the car on the road. It truly doesn't feel like an upgraded improved Z, it feels like a botched experiment on Nissans part.

I would prefer a G37 over the 370, that was a beauty on the road and the design is flawless.

I test drove a convertible today.
I was at a stop on a 3 lane.
To my left was a 350z 08 I asked.
To my right was a G37s 08 I asked.
This was a 2010 convertible 370z fully loaded.
We all went at it on green and the 350 was the slowest.
Maybe it was the drivers but man did the 370z keep pulling away!
Love it!

 

This "17" year old is a U.S. Army veteran who knows what an idiot sounds and smells like, hey, found one, he made this quote. What YOU sir need to do, is come to an understanding that while a great car, the 350Z has evolved, it has become lighter, nimbler, more powerful, with a very promising aftermarket with currently 3 companies producing twin turbo kits, and 2 producing supercharged options, how long did it take for your car to get that? my point exactly. So how about you actually go out and test drive a real 370Z instead of sipping on the haterade and being pissed at the fact you made a bonehead move instead of upgrading.

 

I test drove one for the first time this past week. I loved it. Then again, I have never owned a Z previously.
