Default First driving impressions

As if there are not already enough good things to say about the 370Z, im going to put in my .02.

My father picked up a 370 a few weeks ago and I took it for a spin the other day. Just for a comparison, Im used to driving my 400hp 240sx drift machine everywhere.

One word. Incredible. I cannot say there is another car out there in this price range that feels like the 370Z. Nothing comes close. It is one of the most refined driving machines I have ever driven. I still am having a hard time getting over the amount of grip the car offers from the factory. Nissan has done an amazing job on the suspension and drive train systems. Everything from the syncro rev mach system, super smooth power delivery, massive stopping power... Nissan did a whole lot of right with this car. A nice improvement over the 350Z. The potential this car has for tuners is very high. I can't wait to start building parts for it.

If anybody out there is considering getting one of these cars. Do not hesitate, you will not regret it.

It's a great car but I'm waiting until Nissan comes up with a fix for the oil temp issues. I've been ready to buy for a month but won't do it until they solve the issue.

All you need is an oil cooler...

Its a Nismo package when you order the car.
When it comes in they install it with a warranty, not overly expensive either.

If THATS whats stopping you...go get one!

When you go in and get the car.
Tell them you want the NISMO catalog for the 370Z.
The guy will PROBABLY look at you like you have ten heads.

Tell him to ask the Manager or Service parts Manager and he can find it.
You order it THROUGH the dealership, once it gets in they will install it.

That way you still get the full factory warranty.

Isn't the nismo oil cooler an R part rather than an S part, meaning that R parts are for off road/ racing applications not covered by warranty. Besides, there is no reason that during normal drivng a stock car should be hitting temps of 240+. Chances are if Nissan fixes this issue it will be via an oil cooler but I'm still waiting for the final verdict rather than buying right now.

It is still covered if installed by a Nissan Dealership.
You will have the installation covered under warranty, and the oil cooler if it does not work will have a warranty on it.

I have driven the HELL out of a 370 and it has never gone close to 220.
I do not see the need for all the people waiting...

Then again MI it is still pretty cool up here....
