There is no way possible that the car will see near that with stock all season tires. Et streets allowed for dumping the clutch and not worrying about spinning.

Guys, we still do not have anyone to go up against the 5.0. Someone please step up and email me directly at theforumwars@gmail.com. If you don't want do do it, but know someone who would, please contact them. It would be much appreciated. We'd really like to firm up your representative ASAP.

You guys might know him. Robert is his first name. Not sure of his screen name. Cool guy, just one of the gearheads that you like to be around. I'll have him post up. I asked him to run D98GT, but won't be in town.

Here is his car.
Thanks for the kind words Mark. Sure do miss shooting the **** with Gabe & you. Good times.

Wish I could make this as well. But 3rd is still missing and the driver of course. Maybe in the future. But I'll have some extra tricks up my sleeves by than.

they posted this in the 370 section, one of the lesser visited sections of the board. if they really want to find a 350 they should open it up to the higher traffic areas, and more specifically, the regional forums.

If you don't mind, can you open this up, or link the other setions to this thread? I don't have any credibility here with my post count, so I might not get much interest. We just want a fun, fair race.

I thought so too! I made only 2 passes that night due to it shocking me so much.

Perfect air and 100% traction will do some crazy things! Car has seen a 11.99 and a few 12.0 passes on those tires since, however street tires see nothing like that. The factory tires on these cars are difficult to keep traction with; they generally break loose on the 1-2 shift and at times 2-3.
Nice run. The idea of V8 Mustang running headsup against V6 350Z is hardly realistic is it?

Hell I'll go run.

Pretty close to stock here with only intake/exhaust...and a few other minor irrelevant things.

The 1/4 mile is only ONE event out of 3 total. I have no problem admitting that I am confident in this section as I have experience at the drag strip and I know the 2011 performs well during this but please note that there is also other events.

0-100-0 is another event and I lack the brembo brake package and am on all-season tires, not some high performance summer tire that is sticky. I honestly don't know how this will go for either car.

There is also an autocross type event that my fatass is likely going to suck so bad at that i'll be afraid to go to my own forum haha. I have only been driving a standard since picking this car up at the end of October.

I think you will still have the edge in the 0-100-0, you'll be the first to 100, and brembos dont really help you stop that much faster, they are more to keep cool after a lot of hard braking to prevent brake fade (something that I don't think you'll encounter on the auto cross unless you have to do multiple laps). bear in mind that your competition will also have to deal with the tire restrictions : P

Sportsmanship and camaraderie is the key here. Also fun. I think this will be an interesting match. Assume this will be in Texas? This event is posted in the Texas forum?
