This video had me laughing, especially at 1:05. Wow, this thing is fast! Guess that F1 tech was worth it!

Spoiler: It looks like the Black S might actually be powered by a briggs and stratton instead of the twin turbo V6.

Makes me wonder if we're all missing something here.

That the CV37 (current Q60) is actually "the new Z" and we're all talking about a mythical, never-to-be-produced "Z35" for nothing because "the new Z" already exists..

I say that jokingly but if you think about it, why not consolidate their engineering efforts into the higher classed Infiniti line, forget about the Z, keep the R35 (GTR) as Nissan's halo, and go head to head with Lexus? Engineering wise, the Infiniti already as the VR30DDTT in both "standard" and Red Sport versions.... the engine class that's been suggested "should be in the Z"....

Hmmmm..... makes business sense.

OK, I'm heading back to my real work instead of offering advice to Nissan C-levels. Laff.

The C8 was only formally introduced this month. Consumers won't see any on the ground for some time yet.

Word is it's almost sold out for 2020. The dealership I talked to said there will be a demo at select dealerships even if they sell out. Also, a lot of these early registrations fall through so there should be "some" available.

So, as an insider, I "obtained" the first photos of the new R36 and Z35.....

OK, fine, I'm bullshidding. These are chopped (not just the tops ) by the guy who's name appears on the cars. Dunno where I found this, maybe an FB Z group or somewhere like that (weeks ago).

My reaction? "Ummmm, interesting to try to turn them into crossovers, but no."

Hello Z Fans,

Couldn't wait for the next Z, so....

Got the 4 Door Luxury Hatch Back Model - FM Platformed - 325 HP - AWD - 2008 Technology - Version of the Z Car.

Color Code GAC - Malbec Black, this G37X 4 door - Q50 on Stilts - the Poor Man's Porsche Macan - Shooting Brake is....

in a word - quite AWESOME... Diggin' the Color, it aint Code AX8 Brickyard, but dang close to its sun reflective properties.

Scored this 1 Owner '16 QX50 with a mere 6,800 miles on it for over $20K less than what it stickered for new 3 yrs ago in '16.

It has all the Attributes of a 370Z, with the added bonus of a Power folding and lifting Split Back Seat, and Hatch.

Don't call it a Clown Shoe, in today's Sporty Luxury CUV Market, this car is a performance Beast.

It should get me through the Winter Storms with a Modicum of Z spirited performance and Infiniti creature comforts.

Couldn't wait for the next Z so... This will have to do in the interim - which appears to be an... Pun Intended - an INFINITI

Hahahaha..... yer cred is good, dude. I have no problem recalling your car because all your photos, are, well, seemingly color saturated. Or is Lake Michigan and its banks just naturally that vibrant?

The South Shore of Lake Michigan is only this Vibrant about 3 days a year, it's typically a glum crap hole of mill dust, and grit...

Gotta get them Nissan and Infiniti Metallics out on those few days a year...

Then its back to turning out steel coils destined to end up stamped into Nissan and Infiniti Parts in TN, MS, & even Mexico.

And yet another "expert" rendering of the new Nissan Z35. This one is the Origami Edition...

These Pixel Pilots need to stop.

A bit of 240 squared off flavor in that one, bet that would be an EV if created.

So...given this is New Years Eve, this is a pretty prophetic statement made December of 2015 by dkmura at the very beginning of this thread. Here we are 2020 four years later....

Both Murano and Rogue are leading the Nissan lineup in sales, as crossovers take the sales lead from sedans by the end of the year. Nissan remains in an enviable position, but knows the market for sportscars continues to erode. The return on investment (ROI) for the millions required to put a new Z into production is also compromised by the need for a new GT-R. Godzilla has taken over as the flagship model, so money spent on a halo model won't be earmarked for the Z. Of course, we've all seen the concept model GripZ, but that's still just testing the market. My guess is the final decision on what the new Z will be is still in the future. How far is that? Well, specs on the 2016 370Z already has its own thread, and those who are hoping for 2017 are just waiting for disappointment. Could Nissan launch a concept Z model in 2018 that leads to production by 2020? It's a long way off, but that's my best guess, what's yours?

If only his guess was correct we would all be happier on this....
