Before anybody gets too excited about buying this GT4-spec Z, keep in mind it's a hand-built custom race vehicle with production based in Japan. Notice the body-in-white starting spot with custom harness, safety equipment and GT4 regulated powertrain. My guess is cost will be in excess of $150,000 with a replacement parts support package tacking on another $50-75K to the base price. Yeah, there'll be a lot of us racers ordering that...
But, let's just see the real thing in any color first. Laff....

Somewhat surprised there hasn't been much discussion here on the differences between the delivery experience of the Z33 and the new Z.
The BRUTAL TRUTH is the introduction and delivery of the 350Z was sweet dreams for Nissan back in 2002. The anticipation was delicious, and excitement palpable for the reintroduction of the Z to the North American market. As compared with the delays, lack of coordination and disappointment common to many posts and sites on the new Z. Certainly, there have been a few deliveries of the proto version of the Z with delighted owners, but they've been few and far between. That, and the huge markups have seemed to spoil the introduction of this latest Z model.
And while I started this thread many, many years ago to keep people from losing their minds over anticipation of a new Z, it seems the parts supply problems and logistics in rolling out the car have really curtailed the launch of this car. Will things get better next year? We can only hope...

The cheapest documented car sold I've seen was $84k and that's just stupid money for a Z.
the harsh reality is this car is less "race car" than its predecessors and it matched/beat around a track by the GR Corolla and the Golf R.
4 seats, same performance, smaller MSRP.

What I'm trying to figure out is "why?" The larger Akebonos are direct bolt on with no brackets, no new rotors, etc. and all the Z34 (and presumably RZ34) wheels fit right over them. But if ya gots ta have Brembos, there are 4 and 6 piston caliper kits available.

the more I see them, the more I like the styling of the Supra’s, haven’t seen a new 400Z yet, so I’ll wait before passing an opinion based on the pictures and videos.
