Default 05 Roadster, Touring or Enth.

Well I am getitng the new car bug and might trade my Base 03 Model in. Reasons are:

1. I want a convertible.

2. My base does not have cruise (main reason), LSD, HID, ect, ect.

I know what you are all going to say. Buy aftermarket LSD, HID, ect.

Well believe it or not, it comes down to cruise control. I took a road trip and the trip was miserable without cruise.

So, is the only difference bewteen the two, Leather and Bose?

If so, I need your thoughts. How's the Bose, Leather?

I am thinking of a PPW, with the blue top.

I am driving my Z to the dealer to test drive a Redline Touring with Nav/18" tomorrow. Its listed at $40,000 MSRP. They said they would try and locate me a PPW through other dealers.

Last but not least, how much do you think I can get a Enthusiast or Touring model for, OTD?

BTW, my Z is paid for. How much do you think I can get on trade in or how much to sell locally?

Also I have the Track Wheels, would they look funky on the Roadster?

Get the touring as you will always regret not getting more of the bells & whistles. The Bose system is much better than the stock enthusiast version. I feel that the touring will carry a better resale as well as most people want leather.

White only comes in Touring Model... Plus the Bose Stereo in the Touring is far superior to the Base Roadster stereo... Plus you get heated seats with the Touring model...

Well its come down to the Touring model, but another vehicle has popped up. A 2005 Infiniti G35 6SPD.

I am test driving a Red Touring with Nav tomorrow and then will test drive an 05 G35 Coupe, probably an auto though!

Decisions/Decisions?

BTW, the Touring and G35 are the same price, both at $39500 fully loaded.

Comes down to if you want an convertible or not.. The G35 Coupe is far more practicle, and I would suggest it if you don't have another car to drive, as the Roadster is more of a fun weekend car....

does not matter what car you buy, there's always a chance you'll get a car that has some problems... Only problems I've had with my Roadster is the seat shifting left and right in hard corners... theres a TSB on it, so I plan on dropping it off at a dealership soon to have it fixed... no biggy...

To me when I test drove the Roadster, there was no question in my mind this car was for me... took me hours to remove the grin from my face.. Had to go to another dealership to buy it tho, because the 1st dealership saw the grin and would not lower the price

All depends on the price they offer. They have (3) PPW Tourings they can get. Going to work the price tomorrow. Already pre-approved by my bank at 3.5% for 60 months. And the insurance only went up $120 a year. Wish me luck.

My other problem is getting rid of my Base 03 Z with over $8K in aftermarket stuff. Thinking the dealer will offer 20K and I will have to take out all my mods.

Really want to sell it private but hate the hassle of posting and waiting for a bite.

I love my Touring Roadster......Just wanted to say that I can relate about it coming down to something as simple as cruise control.....I remember when I first had a tilt wheel, and intermittent wipers......Stupid little things like that spoil us.....I can't imagine doing without those things now.......

Thanks all for the comments, went into a dealer 40 miles away and purchased a 05 Redline Touring ZR with all options including Nav and 18" Wheels.

The best purchasing experience I have ever had. I also got $3K off MSRP.
