Aftermarket Roll Bars for Roadster?
Anyone know if aftermarket roll bars could be fabricated for the ZR like the ones for this Porsche Boxster?

Any recommendations of shops, etc.? Could be a lucrative opportunity for someone with the right tools, for all those guys out there wanting to seriously track their ZR's! I'd be interested in beefing up my roll bars with ones like that just for day to day California highway driving safety...
That's one bad a$$ boxster BTW, "$$" being the opperative word!

Never saw any before. I have seen a few ZR's that have painted the covers to match the exterior. tough to do since there is a slight texture to the material.
$$$$ to do.
btw...
There is a slight roll bar behind the plastic cover....

I had to laugh outloud about the Z taillights comment. If you look at it that way, it would be a hell of a lot less money to customize your ZR and have the same performance as that Boxster. I mean $233,000!?!?!?! You could gold plate your ZR for that!
I agree not too hard to fabricate...but to make it look right is another story...

I've been trying to find an answer to whether or not an after market cage/roll bar could be fashioned to fit the ZR that would pass track racing approval and still allow the top to operate wihtout interference. I still haven't got a satisfactory answer.
I wrote to this compnay that makes one for the Boxster and asked about one for a ZR, but I did not get a response.

I was thinking the same thing but I still haven't seen an actual installation or even a design that would meet the height requirements in effect at certain tracks.
