Aftermarket sub in stock sub in ZR
Asked and answered a million times. Short version is, build a sturdy, sealed box for the sub of the proper volume for the sub, and get an adequate amp. Free-air subs mounted in the stock Bose plate will sound just as bad as the original. Other problem is getting a good, clean signal from the horrible Bose HU.

You can build a box that's 18" wide, 12.5" deep, and 6.5" tall, which will fit inside the compartment behind the driver's seat. Amp can be mounted in or under the glove compartment on the other side. Alternatively, you can buy a manufactured box to fit in that space:

Perhaps, but it's the first time that I have ever seen it brought up on these forums! And how in the hell are you supposed to put a subwoofer box in a ZR, unless you are a midget and can actually move the seat forward from its rear-most position? I guess you could butcher the interior of your car and somehow fit one in, but only a braindead teenybopper would do something like that just to get more bass, lol. Actually, I think the factory sub may not be completely bad if you replace the HU and wiring so you get a good clean signal, because the Bose HU sucks bad!!

If you mean those oval red lenses on the lower, rear edges of the doors, no. Reflectors is all they are, although there is a thread about installing LED's in them, so they illuminate when the doors open.
