Default Odometer mileage

Hi guys,

Just went to the dealer and want to see my 2004 SS roadster,
nav 18" wheels, 6m. The salesperson asked me if I want to take my new car for a drive (with white protective stickers and all).

As the car was delivered today, the one thing that bothered my was that the car had approx 15 miles on it. Is this excessive for a brand new car or am I being totally paranoid ?? What was the average mileage that people had when they picked up their car?

I had 6 miles on my Silverstone Touring model I bought yesterday and it also had the protective stickers on it. I wouldnt sweat it. I am sure someone took it for a short spin just to check it out before they presented it to you. You will love the ride on the 18" rims. I just traded in my 350z Coupe which had the 17" rims and the 18" provide a much better ride in my opinion. Congratulations!!

I run a Toyota and Scion dealership. And, NO 15 miles is not excessive.

I watched them unload my car off the transporter, and it had
6 miles on the odometer. From that, I'd say don't expect zero
miles on a new car fresh on the lot.

At the factory, the Quality Control department pulls vehicles at random right off the final manufacturing line. They do extensive testing of the vehicle. Miles on one of these vehicles should be between 25 to 50 miles.

Mine was one of these vehicles. It came in with 44 miles.

Mine had 5 miles on it. It was sitting in their back lot, collecting dust. Still had plastic over the peddles and Nissan logos. I had test drove another they had out front, which had about 75 miles on it. They asked me if I wanted the exact same car, which had never been test driven so of course I chose that one.

15 miles sounds like nothing to worry about.

my car arrived last Friday and had 6 miles on it. It will have to wait 3 more weeks for me to pick it up since I am in Spain but the internet sales mgr. assured me that he would be the only person to drive it and that would be to fill the tank up. It should have no more than 8 mi. on it when I finally get it. If not, then there will be hell to pay.
