ok so im getting an x50...heres my question. I can get it on ebay for 250 (265 shipped) but then i dont get the warrenty from escort because its not an authorized dealer but the ebay seller provides a 1 year warrenty himself. Alternativley i can get it from the escort site for 300 (315 shipped).

do you guys think its worth the extra 50 bucks for the escort warrenty over the ebay seller warrenty?

I got my x50 at bestbuy for $280 plus tax. Sure you can save around $30 if you buy on ebay but if it breaks your srewed.

 

i got mine from crutchfield for $350 i think it one of those blue led. if you buy the detector on ebay then you're screwed with warranty.

 

The X50 like to break. Better get the warranty.

 

the x50's on ebay are older model (Firmware 3). Most authorized dealers carry the newest firmware (Firmware 5).

 

got mine (x50red) with the extended service plan for 3 years replacement plus firmware upgrades straight from escort for 339

 

I have a gen 1 Escort Passport 8500. If you're interested let me know I'll cut you a great deal. I'm going to try something new like a V1.

 

if it breaks, you can always send it to Passport and they'll charge you about $40 to repair it including upgrading to the latest firmware...i got mine off ebay over a year ago and it's been working perfectly...just wish i would of bought the blue led...

 

well i bought it from an authorized dealer after all...just felt better about it. I got the red because it matches the guages better than blue. gonna hardwire it in tonight.
