I know you posted the tread a while ago, but here's a
nice little system. I had mine installed after my wheels were
stolen. Now I have 2 wheel locks/wheel and this system.
It comes w/ 2-stage shock sensor, motion detection *can't jack up the the car* and a radar-based 2-zone perimeter alarm that is activated if anyone gets within a body length of the car. Also, you get a hand held pager device that allows you to control the car's functions *including an auto-start feature if you want* and will page you and show you which sensor is being activated. The range of the pager is 1.25 miles.

To the penny! The basic unit is $450..(includes door/hood/hatch sensors and dual stage shock sensor) the 2 perimeter sensors, motion detector, off-site installation and a strobe light I had installed (to bring more attention to the car when the alarm is sounded) brought the price up to $750. The local installer even came to me...which is nice.
Oh, what really surprised me was the size of the pager. From the website pics, I thought it would be large. It is only 2 1/4" long (3 1/4" including the antenna), 1 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep.
Here's the link to the page where you can find a local dealer...

Just wish I would have had it installed before someone stole my wheels!

I used to have the Aladdin ax-2000 system on my vic. Had FULL featured alarm system, remote start, and keyless entry so you dont need 2 keyfobs. I may be getting teh new upgraded ax-2002 version for my Z. But this time i will be having it installed professionally.... Took tooo damn long to do it in my garage in the cold and plus i dont feel like bieng the responsible party if the interior gets damaged while installing
