Anyone use this ipod adapter?
Seems like it should work great...but I would like to hear from someone on the quality of this product first before I order.

I emailed them about this very same interface, asking if the AUX-NISSv2 works for '03 Zs, shouldn't this work also. I was told that it *may* work on an '03 non-bose, but was only listed to work on the '04-'06 (as the site indicates). So since you have an '06 you should be good to go.
You could always contact them to comfirm, though.

My best friend Lisa went out and purchased an 06 350Z (nice car), and wanted to connect one of her many iPods to the stereo but did not want to use an FM Modulator-- we called the dealer and found that there was nothing available--, so we went to Google and typed "Nissan ipod adapter"--- and boom, there is was. The same product (PA11NIS) mentioned in this post was available from discount car stereos in Virginia--- we emailed to see if we could drive there and have it installed (i was anxious for a 110 mile journey), but was told that they are a mail order company--- but could deliver the part to NC by the next day and we can install it or have a local shop install it. She placed the order last week Thursday and the part was delivered to NC on Friday-- On Saturday we took the dash apart (what a pain), and connected the 12-pin connector.. but the thing would not work.. we emailed tech support and surprisingly they replied in just 10 minutes and explained that the 10-pin power connector must be disconnected from the radio and plugged into the interface and to connect the male 10-pin back into the radio. We did, and music began to play ---- this gadget works...anyone reading this should definitely check it out. By the way... she opted for direct mode instead of playlist mode.
Notes:
1. In retrospect-- the install issue was out fault.. the online diagram explain the process but we failed to read first.
2. The 10-pin radio connector is a PITA -- use caution and be patient.
3. Read the manual before installing-- this could save time.
4. Customer support from reseller was gr8 (even on Saturday)
5. Have a beer after your done--- working on a new car requires your full attention.
Good luck to all you Z's !

will this ipod adaptor work with an 06 touring?? I heard somewhere that the sat. ready headunits are different, in that they dont have the input in the back. is this true? i was told that I need the AAI-NIS to hook up the ipod to a sat. ready Z. I would rather use the PA11-NIS listed here on discountcarstereo.com. any help would be appreciated.

be kewl.
so if my 06 came from the factory with sirius radio, that means the sat. radio is plugged into the 12 pin port in the back of the radio? So all i have to do is unplug the sat. radio from the port and plug in the ipod adaptor??? thanks for your help, i just want to get it right.

I don't think we should have to make a choice between SAT and iPod-- hopefully these folks will find a way to combine them-- meanwhile you can use the PXNI aux input which lets you keep the factory SAT, but keep in mind that the PXNI is not an iPod interface but an auxiliary audio input-- which mean you can listen to your ipod but you can't control or charge it-- well charging is possible with the pxp01 but again no controls from the radio.
