what is the best radar detector for ur $$$?

price is around 140 bucks

I am going to go with a cobra or an escort.

 

You get what you pay for with radar detectors... go V1 if you want the popular favorite or the 8500 x50 or beltronics rx65 to save some money. You really can't go wrong with any of those but I wouldn't recommend getting anything cheaper than those.
