my system selection what you think about it?
Alright guys ive been bouncing between the idea of replacing the bose sub with aftermarket, understrut all kinds of things. Well i finally figured out what i want gonna get a understrut 10'' box from zenclosures and a jl w6v2 sub in it. Thanks for those of you that voice your opinion in my amp thread it helped alot gonna try to get a cheaper amp from best buy or somethin to keep cost down. For my headunit im problably going pioneer tell me what you think about this unit, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-3TVORLW...r+cd+receivers i was going to go with the DEH-P9800BT but cant see paying over 550 just basically for the bluetooth cause i compared them and that seems like the only big thing different of the two. Let me know what you think about mostly the headunit and the hole system thanks guys.

so your system consists of a headunit, a understrut box and a 10w6, and trying to go to best buy to try and find a "cheap" amp to power it...
well, i am not sure what to say, the box is fine, the 10w6 is fine, the "cheap" amp sorta is not my thing, depending on what you call "cheap"...and as for the HU, which ever fits your needs and your budget is the wya to go.
but i would also look to upgrade your front speakres as well and amplfiy them...IMO just adding a sub to the Z's stock system sounds pretty horrible...but then again, if bass is all you want, then go for it

see i figured it would sound ok i dont think that the stock speakers are horrible they could be alot better but i just got my Z after selling my silverado ss and it had a bose system and sucked stock but once i put a head unit in there and the subs the stock speakers sounded pretty nice to me. im just tryin to keep the amp under 300 or so. I am on a tight budget right now so thats pretty much why im trying to go a little cheaper. Once i get into some more money im thinkin of going focals up front amped but till then this will have to do. What amp would you recommend?

theres a guy selling a brand new w6 on the forum im thinkin about buying off him for 210 shipped thats why i was thinking about that. then i figured a used 500/1 jl or somethin similar would push it fine. I had 2 12's on a 500 and it sounded awesome in my truck. I just love JL and figured i would be able to get buy with about 8 or 900 bucks with this system total.

reason im not worried about warranty and such ive had 4 cars 2 with jl one kenwood and one fosgate subs and i have never blown one out of all 4 so i dont figure it will be a problem.

sweet head unit...you won't be sorry with Pioneer! Also, I like your choice of sub, but try to get a better amp whether it's used or not...amps make a bigger difference than you think...maybe do what Ibz suggested...Rockford amps arent bad at all...you should check out best buy for one!
