ditto, if there was ever a case of power wire inducing noise through SPEAKER wires, i have yet to see it in all my years...i have seen for some odd reason passiver xover induce noise, perhaps due to a fault wit hthe xover, but speaker wires? not a chance.

sorry to bump an old thread, but what type of silicone seal would be good to seal up an opening where the rubber boot in the firewall is? my installer didnt do a good job when running a wire through and now water actually leaks through on a heavy rainy day!

the rubber boot is slightly torn and i can see where water would go in. i just need to have it securely sealed off because the passenger side floor had some water build up recently. any help is appreciated!

I just read this thread too and I was also wondering how I can seal the firewall off... I never dealth with silicone :\ I am sure some of my friends have tho whom I can ask too..

You should be able to use any brand of clear silicone sealer. When I used to work at an install shop we would just buy some from a local hardware store.

I use GE silicone 1 or 2 in clear. Its stinky but it dries nice and quickly. Do not use Mono brand as it takes days to dry and cure.
