I still haven't heard from any of the beta testers - I was hoping to get some feedback by the end of this weekend.

Very interested, is this something that a audio place should be able to install? Will I get any resistance from say a place like Car Toys to install something like this?

You would have to ask them about what their policy is with installing products that they don't sell. Most shops will do it, but they will make you sign a wavior releasing them of liability.

Any car security/remote start shop should be able to install these with no issues at all.

Wish I would have seen this earlier, I'd have it installed by now. But I have a problem with waiting once I get a part in. It must be installed "RIGHT NOW"

Beta's show your heads, or else!

Just installed beta version in my '06. Nice work, Kevin. I did not want to cut into my factory harness so I modified the harness so that it would hook up like my original protorype. Works, well. I had to do a reset once as it wouldn't start after initial hookup but otherwise, it works well. I was in a bit of a rush so I did not hook up the tach signal wire to any of the injector outputs on the ECM, but rather hooked it up to +12 VDC per instructions. Sorry, I did not take any pics (it got late).

Kevin, did you finalize the pricing? IIRC, you were thinking of updating the initial estimate.

Soon as it stops, I'm on it.

I am only hooking it up, waiting on the mounting of the switch till I find the ideal location.

Another weekend has past, any updates from the testers?

We're hoping to have this module available right after Christmas, but we need the feedback of the testers before we are confident to offer these.

Right now, the price is expected to be $169.99 for everything (control module, plug in button, 2 relays). Hopefully the testers will agree with my claim that the modifications we make to the buttons make them easy to install and durable enough to outlast the car.

Kevin, how long will you honor a warranty for the piece?

Our published warranty period is one year, no questions asked, but we've never turned anyone down in ~5 years of being in business.

However, since there is a outside part being used (the pushbutton), there will probably be a 'split' warranty. We'll most likely offer the standard 1 year warranty on the control module but only offer a very limited warranty on the workmanship of the button itself. We, of course, can't cover cosmetic damage on the button.

OK, I've got 10 complete systems waiting to go. I have 14 more buttons on top of that, but they havn't been modified yet.

Again, the set price is $169.99 and that includes the modified plug-in Nissan Altima button, the KPtechnologies control module, two relays, and installation instructions.

At this point, all we are waiting on is feedback from our testers. I have heard so far from two people who have got the systems working, and there are about 4 more people I'm waiting to hear from.
