Question RPM signal wire for shift light?

OK after searching (2days) somone said that since we have coils we dont have a single wire, but i had coils on my spec v and tapped into a wire behind the gauge cluster... on one e-manage install topic i saw that the rpm wire was brown... Now is that true? i have an 03 track and somone must have installed a shift light or aftermarket tach..

The 5AT does not have a built in shift light. Only the Manual has the built in shift light. But then again he did not say witch he has, Manual/Auto.

Ill have to dig up the info but i installed a Raptershift light about a year ago, and works great. I beleave i hooked it up to the fuel injecter signal wire in the engine bay, but like i said id have to dig up the info on that. I have a 5AT

If all else fails, you can grab tach at one of the coils in the bay.
