Amp in stock bose sub compartment question
Thought a quick search could answer this question but guess not :/ How large (dimensions) is the stock 350z bose sub compartment. I plan on taking it out and putting 2 amps in there but am not sure if there is enough room.

I got an amp in there about that size. Concidering the bracked I made to mount the amp to, I think you could do it if you stacked your amps. IMO.

Well if you look at the pic, you've got alot more width to work with. Just cut your plywood support wider. Its the depth you got the restrictions. I don't think you'll have a problem.
The way I designed my rack, I had about 18 inches of depth going back. I didnt use the straps at the back (this cleared alot of space). I chose this position because I wanted to be able to tune the amps. Here are some pics.
Looks good. There is alot of room in there if you design your support correctly. That compartment is very deep if you don't use the vertical supports like I did.

I just took a look at my original blueprint and realized it was 20 inches back at the deepest point. The 18 inches was the width of one of the two pieces I made. At some points its about 27.5 inches wide. The pics will explain more.
Its enough room in there to fit almost any amp. I currently have two amps and a 2nd battery that fit very nicely (the cap in the other pics couldn't support my system).
I will be doing a complete write up on my system build and how to make this type of amp rack when I have time and stop being lazy.

WOW, that looks great man! I see that you are in OP and I'm in Jax... it would be sweet if we could meet up sometimes so I check out your system and the amp rack. There's few of us meeting up at Southside Hooters this Saturday at 11am... it would be great if you could make it out! We will hang out there then take a cruise to the beach.. if you can't make it... please let let me know if you want to meet up some other time. Thanks
This might be an "idiot" question but---what if I wanted to keep the sub behind
the drivers seat? It looks like there wouldn't be any room for an amp in there.
I would upgrade the sub and the amp, enough for stronger bass and perhaps a bit
more bass but nothing that can be heard from ½ mile away.
